Ford Racing announces 2010 BOSS 302R Mustang

With just under two weeks to go until the 2009 SEMA show, Ford decided to tease us all with an excerpt regarding the return of the infamous 5.0-liter Mustang. Word of the 2010 Ford Racing Boss 302R spread fast late this week…and rightly so. This 400hp special edition throwback to the muscle era is a race-inspired pony car well poised to assault the aggregate at any raceway. The Boss 302R will come in its base form with a sticker price of $79,000 while its upgraded sibling, tweaked with a Grand-Am Homologation package, will post a price of $129,000 for those Mustang racers looking to get into the KONI Challenge series. There’s not a plethora of “official” details (let alone imagery) released yet and Ford is being intentionally vague here, but keep reading to check out the official dealership notice sent out to let everyone know what’s coming at SEMA 2009.

Can a street version be far behind? We can only hope…
Guess what..Ford does not own the automobile copyright/trademark BOSS name anymore..so they applied for a 6 Month use of the TM they let expire years ago..
Just in time for SEMA…I believe the 6 month right to use CW is from the time the permit is asked for/approved ( must used in the time period bought..)..then after used i.e. offered for sale….it can be used til sometime next year I believe til the end of the 2010 MY aha…
this car will be built ; Like the current use (pre 2010) CobraJet Mustang ; It will be built at the end of the 2009 Mustang build in I guess June-July 2010…the CJ was built at the end of the 2009 as a 2008 MY amazing what you can do with numbers.
You can already get a FR body in white pat#, as they call it… 2010 body and build your own , but not for Ford’s price…and 400hp is hp to weight rule
