2010 Ford Mustang GT Shaker Hood by CDC

2010 Ford Mustang GT Shaker Hood

It is pretty sweet to see how the key aftermarket players focused on the Ford Mustang have continually sought to bring innovation, technology, and design improvements to fruition.  Classic Design Concepts (CDC), a very worthy player in the aftermarket, has just completed the finishing touches on the new Shaker Hood System for the 2010 Ford Mustang GT.  To the lucky owners of these newly refreshed pony cars comes the chance to add a bit more flamboyance to their Mustang with this high-performance, quality Shaker Hood System (which is designed and engineered to OEM specs).  This Shaker Hood System is a completely functional apparatus that ducts in fresh, cool air into the factory or even an aftermarket air intake.  The kits come complete with all the hardware, ducting, the template, and of course, detailed instructions to get the job done right.  Check out the close-up of this new hood setup & notice the attention to detail by CDC on this piece!

The 2010 Ford Mustang Price is Right

2010 Ford Mustang in Dallas

Not long ago, we let loose some of the pricing and option details on the refreshed 2010 Ford Mustang, and now with the way the economy is staggering, what better timing could Ford have with the printing of their Mustang window stickers?!  This price war is somewhat a throwback to 45 years ago when the Mustang became the crowned king of the pony car wars and has upheld legendary respect ever since.  By the numbers, we see the 2010 Mustang coupe will be priced at $20,995 and the Camaro LS is marked at $22,995.  Game.  The base model Challenger, the SE, will sell for $22,545.  Set.  A comparable foreign competitor (you know, the one sold by the company that will let us give the car back if we lose our jobs) such as the Hyundai Genesis coupe will start at about $22,000.  Match.  No matter how it’s sliced, the Mustang has the pony car price war won hands down.  Even the more aggressive trims are still favorable in cost against the competition: the 2010 Mustang GT will post a sticker of $27,995 against the Camaro SS sticker of $30,995, and the Challenger R/T boasting a price of $30,545.  Need we say more?  We don’t think so, so we’ll happily share a few shots of the 2010 Mustang in Dallas from just moments ago.  Ford also has something so say, so check out their official Press Release to get the full scoop.

2010 Mustang Wheel Options

2010 Ford Mustang wheels

The 2010 Mustang has certainly made some waves since its debut with its sleeked out & redesigned body and most recently, the announced release of the new 2010 Shelby GT500.  Now, as if that weren’t enough, Ford has sweetened the treats a little bit more with an extensive lineup of wheels to choose from.  The Ford booth at the recent Detroit Auto Show held host to a wall of wheels that were specifically designed to match the Mustang’s new mantra.  We think, from an internal standpoint at Ford, this offering is healthy and good–it could prove to bring additional funds back into their direct market as opposed to the outflow to the aftermarket.  Continue on to see the great set of wheel choices offered for the Ford Mustang.
