ROUSH Performance is ready to rock n roll and ring in spring.  Thank goodness; we thought winter would never die.  Here comes a hot “Back in Black” & “Red Hot Chili Pepper” adorned special edition Ford Mustang, named aptly the Barrett-Jackson Edition ROUSH Mustang.  This concept car has been brought to life for debut for the  April 1st-3rd auction at Barrett-Jackson – Palm Beach and is based upon the 2010 Mustang platform with additional units to round out the production count from the 2011 Mustang pinnings.  If you aren’t able to check out the auction in person, then stay tuned to the SPEED channel to keep up to date with how far this no-reserve ROUSH Mustang auction goes.

“The 2010 Barrett-Jackson Edition ROUSH Mustang ties two leading automotive brands together in an amazing package combining performance and unique styling,” said Jack Roush. “People who drive a regular production ROUSH Mustang are used to getting plenty of second looks. But with the custom Barrett-Jackson paint in such gorgeous colors, these owners will experience envy on an entirely new level.”

In addition to the 2010 Barrett-Jackson Edition ROUSH on the block, a run up to 25 units will complete the 2010 side of the production while another 25 units will be based upon the 2011 chassis.

“The only thing faster than this muscular ROUSH Mustang concept set to go across the auction block will be the bidding,” said Craig Jackson, Chairman/CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “With the ROUSHcharger, forged internal components and a resonator exhaust, this is one good looking Mustang that really moves.”

So what does the winning bidder get in the 2010 Barrett-Jackson Edition ROUSH Mustang?  How about a R2300 ROUSHcharger unit atop the 4.6-liter V8, generating 540hp / 510 tq for starters?  Couple this forced induction up with forged internals (pistons & crank) and you have got one solid race-ready Mustang.  Add to that a set of 20-inch styled chrome wheels wrapped with trendsetting Cooper RS3 tires, upgraded front struts, rear shocks, front & rear springs, front & rear stabilizer bars, and jounce bumpers to tear up the track as well as terrorize the roadways.

In addition to the power & suspension upgrades, ROUSH adds on some additional body components to round out this special addition.  There’s a resonator to bolster the V8 exhaust note–guaranteed to turn heads and frighten small children.  Also, there’s a nice upgrade to the brakes with 4-piston fronts latched onto 14″ rotors with painted calipers all-around.  A new upper and lower billet grille cuts out the regular fog lamp placement and smooths out the fascia will increasing cooling capacity for the supercharged ROUSH Mustang.

Inside, this ROUSH Mustang includes specially embroidered Barrett-Jackson leather seating, a performance pedal set, ROUSH illuminated sill plates, a short-throw shifter (with a black or white ball), and a new serialized interior badge reminding everyone around just how special this car really is.

So are you sold?  Grab your pocket book, mates.  This baby retails for just over $41K.  We’re sure it will easily fetch this & more come gavel time.
