Airaid blasts out CAI for 2011 Ford Mustang GT

Get ready, Ford Mustang fans.  We weren’t kidding when we told you that the Mustang aftermarket is en fuego, and will do nothing but burn hotter from here on out.  Just released this weekend (to help fan the flames) is an awesome, quality CAI kit for the 2011 Ford Mustang GT by Airaid.  This latest MXP intake system is a great-fitting piece that bumps up the pony power by a factor of 11 and an equal amount of torquey twist.

We have dealt directly with the Airaid team in the past, so we can personally vouch for their professionalism in both product & service.  Also, we aim to squeeze one of these 2011 Mustang cold air intakes into StangNet’s Built to Cruise project, should the fitment allow it.  Stay tuned for more as this develops–until then, check out more in the Airaid Press Release.

Press Release

The long awaited 2011 5.0L Mustang GT is the hottest new muscle car from Ford Motor Company in recent years. Boasting an impressive 412 HP and 390 lb./ft. of Torque stock, AIRAID Filter Company hit the drawing board designing this bold new intake system to compliment this four-valve Twin Independent Variable Camshaft engine, nicknamed “Coyote”.

AIRAID’s newest MXP intake utilizes Modular Venturi Technology to generate an additional 11 horsepower and 11 lb/ft of torque without the need for aftermarket tuning. The removable Modular Venturi Tube (MVT) allows for additional performance gains with customer-provided custom tuning. This gives Mustang enthusiasts the option to complement any aftermarket modifications such as headers, camshafts and other bolt-on performance enhancing products.

The kit comes complete with a Hand-Made High-Flow Premium Filter, Cold Air Box, textured Roto-Molded Intake Tube and 100% stainless clamps. That translates into improved air flow over stock and dramatically improved throttle response and power. Each kit comes complete with hardware, easy to read instructions and our exclusive “No-Hassle” Warranty.

Features include:

  • Seals Directly to the Hood
  • No Aftermarket Tuning needed
  • Removable MVT for larger gains With Custom Tuning
  • Utilizes OEM Cold Air Scoop
  • Washable & Reusable 1300 CFM Filter
  • “No-Hassle” Warranty

I had one 0n my 97 F150 truck, got tired of the red oil mess and the washing and waiting for it to dry to reoil never again.
    Coyote.

That is why it's best to go with a 'dry filter' instead of the 'oiled filter'.

The filters are not very good at all. The dry filter is no better although you eliminate oiling. Dirt still goes through at a higher rate then stock and they only flow well when out of the box new. there has got to be better systems on the horizon for this car. I may supercharge.

Here at R2C we understand all of your concerns guys. We are the only air filter/intake manufacturer producing ultra high flow, easy to clean dry air filters and can claim filtration efficiency that in most cases exceeds the efficiency of your factory air filter.

SAE papers recommend 98% initial and 99% cumulative efficiency with fine dust and our cumulative efficiency is 99.7% per ISO 5011.

Look out for our 2011 Mustang intake system to be released soon!

We also have the r2cperformance cold air kit on our Mustang GT. The filter is excellent and easy to clean but I bought it for the sound and the performance. We did a group dyno day and the R2C made the most. A friend had a KN and we swapped our intake on his to see how it would work since his was down about the same as the air aid. It picked up 11 over his KN. He got an R2C system after we left. I’m thinking about tuning at this point.

Another +1 for the R2C performance engineering system for the GT’s. The best on the dyno and the track time after time.

Tune it and set it in kill!
