What’s that? Think you’ve got what it takes to grab the wheel and post some awesome stats? Put your skills where your mouth is, and gear up for the next round of Octane Academy, then. Both coasts of the USA will get a chance to shine a light on the driver’s seat, get the chance to have 15 minutes of fame, and meet Brian Deegan, Tanner Foust, Vaughn Gittin Jr, and Ken Block as part of the mix.
So, what are you waiting for? Keep reading, and let’s see what you’ve got!
Here is your shot to be a part of Ford’s Octane Academy season 2–there will be two qualifying events to attend and show your skills behind the wheel. They will be holding one event on the East coast and another on the West. Can’t make it to one of these events? That’s cool, just send them a video stating why you think you should be on the show but remember, DO NOT include driving footage in your video.
The second season of Octane Academy, a competition based motor sports reality series, is led by Brian Deegan, Tanner Foust, Vaughn Gittin, Jr., and Ken Block as the coaches. Last season, the only way contestants could apply was by video submission on octaneacademy.com. This season, we’re holding two regional casting events [east and west coast] to give people a chance to demonstrate their skills in person. We thought there might be some great candidates within your network and wanted to find out if you could spread the word via forums and/or email communications.
The events will be taking place in late January/early February and we’re hoping to put about 100 drivers through the course. The skill level we’re hoping for is more of a weekend warrior rather than the professional level driver.
The source link below will take you to the OA landing page detailing the program, how to register, and you can check out the episodes and behind the scenes clips from last season.
