The 2009 Ford Mustang and
2009 Shelby GT500 order guides have begun to float around the web, so
we
figured we would go ahead and provide them here as well. It appears as
though nothing dramatic is
going to change, despite the numerous rumors and "in-the-know" spy
shots that float around online.
Cosmetics and packages are the main focus, touching on updates to the
2009 V6, GT, Bullitt, California Special, Warriors in Pink, the GT500,
and the GT500KR.
One of the first changes
everyone knew about for the 2009 Ford Mustang, is the Glass Roof option (59G)
that is going to be offered on both the V6 and GT coupes. After raging popularity in various
aftermarket events (including SEMA), Ford must have realized a good thing
coming.
The only real novel package
that is coming to the next S197 Ford Mustang is the addition of a security
package (43G) for the GT trim. This
package includes Active Perimeter Inclination and intrusion alarms, rounded off
by a wheel lock kit.
As far as colors go, one new
hue is in place (Brilliant Silver Clearcoat Metallic) of a retiring one (Silver
Metallic). Nothing really watershed
here. We werent expected as much,
either. The 2010 Ford Mustang, however,
leads a lot to be speculated, given hints at an S197 platform update/redesign.
The 2009 Shelby GT500 and
the 2009 Shelby GT500KR appear as though they are not going to be updated in
any particular fashion. The biggest
change, if you will, is the recently announced increase in KR units produced.
