A Call to Ford Mustang Moviemakers

Keeping close to the media montage related to the 2010 Ford Mustang, Ford has teamed up with Filmaka.com to get everyone involved in the creation of exciting content surrounding the epic Ford Mustang.  With a sampling of eight stories to start with or one of original touch, participants recently submitted their own transcripts for review in the contest.  Twenty winners will be chosen from the collection of submissions and will be provided with a decent production budget to produce their films.  After 9/16/2008, we will all know the winner of the video production contest, because he or she will be $5000 richer!

There are a few words that spring to mind when you think of the Mustang. Fast, raw and original, are a few of them. Keep in mind that Mustang, to most, is more than just a car. Everyone has a Mustang story. What’s yours? Ford and Filmaka.com is proud to announce an exciting new opportunity to create content about the iconic Mustang

Ford and JWT Team Detroit have provided eight “Mustang stories”. The stories are linked here: http://www.filmaka.com/press/MustangStoryIdeas.pdf in easy-to-print formats. Participants may submit a script for one, some, or all of these stories – or tell their own original story. These stories are meant to inspire, not to define. There is always opportunity to add your personal touch. The deadline for submitting scripts is Tuesday, August 26, 2008

Twenty members will be selected to produce their films. Each semi-finalist will be provided with a $5,000 production budget and contacts at their local Mustang Club (where available), with which they can arrange for the use of automobiles if needed. Semi-finalists will then have two weeks to complete and upload their films (deadline: Tuesday, September 16, 2008); nine winners and one alternate will be selected and awarded an additional $5000 in prize money. The winners will also create and appear in promos for their films which may air during a primetime broadcast network television program in the US. From these Winners, a Grand Prize Winner will be awarded the opportunity to direct a film for promotional materials for the 2010 Mustang Reveal
