Jack Roush's name is one of legendary caliber when it comes to the Ford Mustang.  What better way to pay tribute to the nameplate than to team up with 3M and decorate a ROUSH Stage 3 Ford Mustang in honor of the car and the racing legend?  Well, it's somewhat rhetoric, but instead of just one, there are three tribute-trimmed Mustangs.

The "urban tuner" graphics application features a rich blue paint hue and a city landscape that includes buildings, power lines, and billboards; all prepared by BlueMedia. 

The white-nosed graphic wrapped Mustang pays homage to the historically unique cars in the legendary past of the Ford Mustang.  A white front fascia along with a white rear effectively set off a darker coat of paint without any bleed through.

The "almost official" tribute to Jack Roush himself includes an almost life-sized image of the racer, his signature alongside the car, and a myriad of pictures from his crowning successes starting with the 1970s drag racing program, moving on to road racing victories, and then capping it off with today's respect of winning 4 of 34 motorsport championships with NASCAR stock cars.

ONE ROUSH MUSTANG, THREE GRAPHIC SCHEMES AND THREE DAYS

It might seem impossible, but the experts at 3M figured out a way to take a ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang and have it shown with three radically different full-body graphic designs over three consecutive days. During the ISA International Sign Show at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Convention Center in Las Vegas, 3M brought in a silver ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang. Then, during the show hours and live in front of the attendees, they wrapped this vehicle on three occasions from bumper-to-bumper with 3M Controltac* graphic film. This unique film has a Comply* v2 adhesive which allows it to slide around for positioning and not stick until firm pressure is applied.

The first of the three wraps was a tribute to historically significant Mustangs over the history of the pony car. This scheme featured a white nose and rear to show how a light color can effectively be used to completely wrap a dark paint job without any bleed through. The red center section had photos of a variety of noteworthy Mustangs, including the Mach 1, Boss 429, and of course the very first 1964.5 model.

The second wrap paid homage to motorsports legend Jack Roush. This scheme had a near life-size image of Roush standing behind the door, his signature, and a number of photos chronicling his success in racing starting during the '70s with a drag racing program, then progressing to his tremendous road racing success and finishing with images from what he is best known for today - NASCAR stock cars where he was won four of his 34 motorsports championships.

The final wrap was named "Urban Tuner" and featured a cityscape with buildings, power lines and billboards set on against a background of different shades of blue. These three designs were selected from a variety of choices prepared by BlueMedia and presented to 3M and ROUSH. In between scheme changes the 3M Controltac* graphic film was simply peeled off and the ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang was put back into its original condition as it came off the dealer lot. The car was loaned from Friendly Ford in Las Vegas for the ISA Show, and each wrap took the majority of the day to complete from start to finish.
