The ROUSH Reactor Mustang made its official debut at the ROUSH booth during the 2006 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. This 1967 Ford Mustang fastback required over 2000 man-hours to complete and every detail is noteworthy and this car, were it 2-dimensional, could be framed art. A spectacular dark metallic green coat of paint adorns this vehicle owned by Doug Hoppe of Sioux City, Iowa, and was build by Ringbrothers to fight for best of show in the 2007 Good Guys Street Machine of the Year award. "The Reactor is a car build that we are really proud of, and I know that Doug (Hoppe) is thrilled with how it turned out," said Mike Ring, Ringbrothers co-owner. "We did all we could with the car, and are very excited to debut it to the world in the ROUSH Performance booth at the SEMA Show."

Several tasteful customizations ranging from a split rear window, no drip rails or door handles, and multiple carbon fiber pieces, such as the deck lid, hood, front fascia, bumpers, and tail light panel. Inside, the Reactor hints strongly at dominant European influences.

Beneath the hood lies the ROUSH 427 IR crate motor, generating 552 hp / 535 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with forged pistons, rods, and cranks, the race-ready block is tested and true, as are all ROUSH engines. True enough that ROUSH offers 2-year/24000 mile warranties on each of their crate setups.

"The ‘Reactor’ represents the type of vehicle that we are seeing more and more of our crate engines being used in," said Todd Andrews, ROUSH Performance’s performance engines sales and marketing manager. "More of the very high-end specialty builders recognize the craftsmanship to our engines and they are quickly becoming the first choice among this group. We are thrilled to be part of this Mustang and honored to have it displayed in our SEMA booth."

After SEMA, the Reactor will spend many trailer-hours between stops, visiting several Good Guys events across the United States, as well as some indoor shows such as the 2007 Detroit Autorama.
