!SOLD!  StangNet's 2001 Bullitt #0005 is up for sale.  This Ford Mustang Bullitt has served well in the StangNet's Project barn for 6 years.  We have several new projects coming and need to make room.  It's not easy letting this one go, for sure.  We believe this will make a great collector's car for someone.  Being number 5 out of about 5700 Bullitts makes this steed a rare one.  Follow the jump for details.

So you're wanting a little more horsepower than the stock Ford Mustang GT, but cant stand to pay the price for the Shelby GT500, what is a Mustang enthusiast like yourself to do?  Enter Ford with its brand new Bullitt edition Mustang.  It's been rumored since the introduction of the S197 body style, but we haven't seen any really solid information until now, and the information sounds great!

As we’ve previously seen, first production cars like the oldest production Camaro we showed recently are big hits at the auction block.  Last year, the big story was the first production Shelby GT500, this year, Carroll was back on the block with the first ever Ford Mustang Shelby GT. In a strange repeat, the same winning bidder won the car for the same winning bid.  Six hundred sixty thousand dollars for his new Shelby GT.

There is no doubt that Ford will quickly answer the muscle challenge of the forthcoming Chevrolet Camaro and the Dodge Challenger, as some sources have already discovered some upcoming changes to the current Ford Mustang design.  A few spy shots captured by KGP photography over at WindingRoad show us a glimpse of a test car, still wearing some camouflage on the roadway. This is the first time the prototype has been spotted in public, so it's interesting to catch a glimpse of what Ford has in store for the next generation Ford Mustang.

There is no doubt that this next Ford Mustang variant from Jack Roush's ROUSH Performance will be another one to catch all the attention.  This limited-edition roadster (that's right, roadster) is now available at ROUSH-authorized dealerships, nationwide.  The sexy SEMA fashionplate will be distributed and sold to 100 proud owners.  Take a closer look to see what all the rage is about!

Another lap in the pony car race will be pass as the first Shelby GT Ford Mustang to be set up for a no-reserve auction at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ. Carroll Shelby himself will be there to hand the keys for CSM 07SGT0001 to the winning bidder, with a portion of the auction's profits being directed to the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation. The event dubbed “The World’s Greatest Collector Car Events™" will have more than 1200 of the most spectacular collector automobiles in the world and the SPEED channel will be providing over 40 hours of live coverage.

Steeda Autosports has released and updated version of its street, strip, and road course pony, the Q335 Club Racer (click images in the article for hi res). This Steeda designed & engineered Ford Mustang twist made its debut at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Orlando, Florida, at the Nitto Tire display, equipped with Nitto shoes to match.

Jack Roush, founder of Roush Performance will be entering a Roush Ford Mustang in the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction for the first time later in January. The car is named "BlackJack", a special edition Stage 3 Ford Mustang.
