The well-known tech behind the black S197 Ford Mustang has returned to the shop to give a nice shot of cold, dense air to a V6 Mustang. The AEM Brute Force Intake system takes the cool blast and turns it into proven power gains that almost anyone can bolt-on. Our original StangNet.com write-up (with hi res images on demand) gives a real world overview and interpretation on how to perform the cold air kit installation on a 2007 Ford Mustang V6 coupe. Don't worry, the updates don't take away from the ever-popular classic & retro feel of the Ford Mustang! Take a look and see for yourself... |

Up until now, the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) governance has kept the
competition in the circuit limited to standard powertrains as they
are produced in Detroit. After a paradigm shift, the NHRA has made the choice to allow
the 2008 ROUSH supercharged 4.6L V8, which is commonly found under the hood of the Stage 3 Mustang and P-51A Mustang, into official NHRA competition. This historic change is said to be the first
where the NHRA has allowed any aftermarket powertrain to be able to compete. Check out
more details in the official Press Release from ROUSH Peformance. |

After showing you the 2010 Mustang GT and the 2010 Mustang GT convertible, we are really excited to show you some shots of the 2010 Shelby GT500 prototype. The lastest prototypes of the updated Ford Mustang platform have been running around with heavy vinyl cladding, limiting the view until only recently, but this one that's been shot is only donning simple graphic tape. We are able to get a good view of the next dose of venom in the pony car lineup! It appears as though there are some touches to the grilles, headlight assembly, and what looks to be a series of new hood ducts to bring the cool air into the reputable GT500's supercharger. Take a good look and see what you think! |

Well, we've seen it in pieces, under wraps, and parading around an open track. Here is the 2010 Ford Mustang yet again, wearing an padded overcoat during a summer day on the streets. Ford has carefully made sure to keep everyone peeking at the automotive nudity as well as exhibiting a plug for the 2010 promo site with lettering across the front glass. Despite an almost full mummification, the body angles, bezels, and lamps are able to be seen quite well inside the five spy shots we have harvested for you. Take a look and see what you think! It is only about 75 days until the official debut, so these crumbs will have to tide us over. |

With the Ford
Mustang racing season coming to a strong boil this summer, we wanted to
take a moment and give you a snippet on some suspension tips and show
you a potential alternative to solving the sogginess in the OEM
suspension on the late model (2005 - 2009) Ford Mustang. Weight
distribution, body roll, and ultimate maneuverability are three very
important aspects of racing, be it on the strip or the road course.
Ford commonly uses softer control arm bushings made of rubber, which
provide some degree of comfort, but sacrifice forward and aft support
greatly. When the bind placed on the control arms reaches a peak point,
the result is often instantaneous: handling is reduced and performance
suffers. Replacing the OEM control arms is a great way to stiffen up
control and maintain sure-footedness on the track or while prowling the
street. Keep reading to learn more about our latest featured part from
J&M: Street/Race Lower Control Arms. |

Following the footsteps of several prior reputable automakers, Ford has decided to create a new website counting down to the launch of the 2010 Ford Mustang. Lots of PR has floated around the 'Net regarding the two latest contenders in the ring (the Challenger and forthcoming Camaro), so Ford must have thought it prudent to remind everyone of the legendary Ford Mustang: a car which has never lost popularity or disappeared from the marketplace, despite adversity.
