As we continue down the path of Ford's "Way Forward" today, a variety
of news was spoon-fed to us. One particular notable was the fact that
the Ford Mustang Bullitt
is slated to return to production sometime in 2008. The announcement
comes somewhat as a surprise, as the prior run was to be a limited
production set and many Mustang fans were expecting to hear news of a
Boss, redone on the S197 (2005+) platform. What will Ford have under
the hood of this particular caliber of Bullitt? A naturally aspirated
5.4 liter? A blown 4.6 DOHC? Wish we could say for certain, but we'll
have to see what Bold Move Ford makes next to find out. If we hear anything, we'll keep you posted. |

*Updated Exclusive Pics* ROUSH Performance keeps raising the bar in the entire aftermarket for the Ford Mustang. The latest and greatest from Jack's garage is the new 427R model that brings; you guessed it, 427 horsepower from the stable straight to the street & track. Based primarily upon the ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang, the 427R has fewer modifications, but maintains plenty of pizzazz. An intercooled ROUSHcharger system adds 115 hp and 65 lb-ft of torque to the 3-valve 4.6-liter Ford powerplant. Tuning and taming this wild rendition is ROUSH's own engineered ECM calibration that is flexible to accommodate multiple exhaust combinations. |
