One of the most anticipated vehicles since the Shelby GT500 is set for production beginning in January 2007. The latest Mustang offering from Ford, the Shelby GT that we have been reporting on for some time features 325 horsepower and the chance to own a vehicle that Carroll Shelby himself helped create.

A new commercial featuring one of the most popular rental cars to ever grace a Hertz showroom has been released by Ford. The commercial features a Mustang GT-H being chased through downtown streets by a lone police car. The Mustang spins out and stops and we find that two police officers are having fun recreating their own chase scene and are eager to switch places and try again. The commercial is right in time for the launch of the new Shelby GT that Ford is releasing with the same power and options as the before rental only GT-H.

UPDATED - VIDEO ADDED  Dropping what could be several hints at the next generation Ford Mustang, Fabrizio Giugiaro (styling Director of Italdesign -- Giugiaro S.P.A.) has released his own flavor of the legendary pony car.
