After all of the excitement seemed to be cooling down at the 2010 Mustang reveal in LA, Ford made sure to keep everyones attention piqued with an attractive display of Mustangs customized with new Ford Performance Parts for the mildly redesigned car. Ranging from dress-ups to handling packages and of course, some power enhancing pieces, it seems Ford isnt one to let us down easy on this exciting ride to the 2010 and beyond. Many people were a bit disappointed at the fact there were no monumental powertrain changes, but the release of the Ford Performance Parts lineup makes the bitter pill a little easier to swallow. Check out more inside. |

Ford left Mustang fans worldwide hanging yesterday with a delay in the 2010 Mustang teaser image release, but we were able to grab hold of the new pony car's latest sexy shot and make sure you got your eyes on this one. After seeing a limited amount of exterior photos (the hood and front fender), we finally get our sights set on the rear of the 2010 Mustang. From this photograph's perspective, we can see the updated rear end, the new ducktail spoiler, and the smoothed taillight bezel. The retro three-pillar design is still present, but the assembly seems to be styled to fit more in line with the rear bumper. With just over a week until the official debut at the LA Auto Show, we are excited to see the unveiling. Stay tuned, as we'll bring you some of the hottest official images available and quite possibly, a behind-the-scenes look from the Show. |

Following closely to the hoof prints of the ROUSH P-51A, ROUSH Performance keeps the legend of victory alive and well with the debut of the 2009 P-51B Mustang. This aviation-inspired Ford Mustang is set to take on the enemy with an overwhelming force of 51 numbered production units. The P-51B Mustang exhibits the same power output as the P-51A (510hp / 510 lb-ft tq) and has all the associated upgrades (forged internals, fuel system, clutch, brakes, ECM) required to support this increase over a base Ford Mustang. The crown jewel, of course, is the supercharger unit providing the boost for the P-51B: the next-generation TVS2300 ROUSHcharger setup. What's most exciting about this newest release from ROUSH is that this edition will be equipped with the new Cooper RS3 ultra-high performance tires as well as the Stage 3 suspension package--believe me, I can personally attest that this setup is sure to bring a huge grin to anyone who sits behind the wheel of a Mustang equipped as such! So c'mon, take a close look at the hi res shot of the P-51B, as well the official Press Release and spec sheet from ROUSH Performance.

Coupled with the recent Ford Mustang video contest, Ford had also made the request of Mustang fans to submit their very own personal testimonial essay about their passion for the pony car. The stakes? A 250 word essay judged and voted upon by Ford and the online Mustang community. The prize? A brand new 2010 Mustang. The winner? Kory Chesher. The U.S. Army Specialist with the 1st Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division submitted his personal reflection about a black 1968 Fastback that made quite the impression on him as a youngster. Having never owned the very car he's so passionate about, this awesome reward for his essay is truly a slice of Heaven on Earth. Chesher will get two tickets to the LA Auto Show this month in addition to the prize of owning a brand new Mustang. Looks like he should be able to be there for the official unveiling of "his" new car, as his Unit is returning stateside this month. Be sure to check out his submission about the one we all love; the legendary Ford Mustang. |

The Boss is truly one of the most famous Fords Mustangs of all time, and every Mustang
freak and his brother has sought to put one in the garage. This passion has held strong
from the Classic days up through present, with many one-offs posted by the aftermarket, but
none have been fully blessed by FoMoCo. The lingering lust for a high-powered pony car with
the Boss lettering has Mustang fans grabbing at any possible concept they can fathom in
order to reproduce the legacy of the Boss Mustang experience. Now, Jon Kaase and his crew have
taken their best shot at recreating a Boss monster--and yeah, they have a winner here,
folks. With an output of 800 ft-lbs of torque and over 900 horsepower, this S197 Mustang
means business...because it's truly the Boss. Take a good look at the Kaase Boss Nine
589ci 2008 GT Mustang and witness how it became a fire-breathing thoroughbred. |

Ford's weekly dispensing of 2010 Mustang teaser images have shown us the interior profile from the driver's side, the climate controls just above the center console, a good look at the dash, as well as the seats of the soon-to-be pony car. This week's shot provides a passenger side profile of the new Ford Mustang's interior and a composite look at the rest of the offerings in the center console. From what we can tell, it seems that the entertainment portion of the console center seems to occupy a lot of space and is integrated into the lower section sans seams (or at least visible ones). This integration could be seen as a slick OEM feature, but could potentially throw a curve to those who commonly seek aftermarket head units (audio, video, navigation) to replace their stock equipment. It's tough to tell for sure from the angle, so we are left counting the few short weeks until the official debut from Ford. |

Could Hot Wheels have accidentally stripped all the red tape off the 2010 Ford Mustang before the official debut at the LA Auto Show? Just recently, the 1:64 scale replica of the new Mustang GT popped up on eBay, fully detailed in what appears to be a design consistent with all the teaser images Ford has been spoon-feeding us these past several weeks. It even has the power dome hood! The sanctioned unveiling is just a few weeks out and tomorrow, Ford will give us another glimpse of the 2010 Mustang. Maybe we'll get to see if this die cast version of the Mustang is an accurate rendition or not.

So far, Ford has shown us the front seats, the dash, and the shifter knob of the 2010 Mustang--now we get to see just a little more of the interior. This week's teaser gives us a full perspective of the center console and the lower accessory controls in the new pony car. What we have here is a definite move up in class with some elegant chrome trim (of what could be the next IUP package...or could be standard) around the shifter bezel as well as the accessory knobs. The climate control system appears to have been updated to a push-button setup and also allows for two distinct climate zones for the Mustang's front occupants. The traction control button also gets a relocation downward, more adjacent to the shifter. These changes aren't watershed by any means, but the true enthusiasts know exactly what is evolving. The true rendition will solidify all of our past teasings and suppositions in just a few weeks, at the LA Auto Show. |
