BULLITT Concept Mustang (updated Nov 2000)

We had a chance to see the latest version of Team Mustang's Bullitt Concept at the Bright Light City Cruise in Las Vegas.  Team Mustang brought the car to get some feedback.  We had a chance to talk with several members of Team Mustang about this new car.

The styling reminiscent of the 1968 Mustang GT in the famous chase scene from the  movie 'Bullitt'.  There are several unique signature looks to the Bullitt Mustang.  There are 'Bullitt' badges in various places to include the rear deck. We also find aluminum sill plates in the doors sporting the Bullitt badge. Aluminum pedals are up front (which Art Hyde of Team Mustang describes as some of the best Toe-Heel action he has ever felt) along with retro-styled gauge faces and there is an aluminum filler door for the gas tank.  The interior leather has the vertical stitching reminiscent of the 60's.  The wheels are the 2001 Premium wheels which are now available currently on any 2001 Mustang.  The brakes on the Bullitt are Cobra brakes.  They have been painted red for styling sporting the running Pony.

The performance has been enhanced as well.  Look for numbers around 275HP compared to the stock rated power of 260HP.  This is achieved from a high flow intake and freer flowing exhaust system.  Actual HP numbers will be interesting to see once this car makes it to production.

We feel there is a good chance that this car will make it to production early next year. Look for the Bullitt Mustang to be officially announced at this January's Detroit Auto Show! In the meantime, get down to your local dealers and tell them you want to see the Bullitt...
