Ford has also debuted its latest installment in the 2013 Ford Mustang marketing campaign to keep everyone pumped-up.  The 2013 Mustang is going to capitalize upon what has made the Ford Mustang ever-so-popular since its inception back in the mid-60s; its customizability.</p><p>The video spot we have inside for you is set to release during the Daytona 500 this weekend (although, it should have been debuted during the Super Bowl, we think), so there are plenty of chances for Ford fans to get wind of what&#8217;s coming next.  What is unique in this advertisement is the fact Ford has opted to show how well the 2013 Mustang connects to its ownership base, more so than bragging on its 420hp V8 or the fact the car is coming up on its 50th Anniversary&#8211;a wise move, we think, since Americans are going to easily face $4+ per gallon of gas this spring/summer.  People are going to be focused on how a car fits <em>them</em>, not how it might drain their the &#8220;Mustangs Northwest Roundup&#8221; in Seattle, WA.  The latest modified Mustang from Steve&#8217;s dreams will be the only one officially authorized to bear the Steve Saleen nameplate as a tribute to the dedication, history, and success he has cultured for over 30 years.  Steve states the SMS 460 Mustang is &#8220;&#8230;everything I stand for.  It reflects my unrivaled tenure in the Mustang business&#8230;&#8221;.  Well, Mr. Saleen, if SMS is exactly what you say and the SMS 460 delivers what&#8217;s promised, color us excited.  We&#8217;ll be waiting to see more of this slick pony car later this year when the launch happens.  What&#8217;s more interesting is the SMS460 will come in two trims: the base and the &#8220;X&#8221;.  The SMS 460 is equipped with a 4.6 liter V8 producing 470 hp and 427 ft-lb of torque, while its bigger brother blasts out (with the help of an upgraded internal assembly and some head work) 655 hp and 600 ft-lb of torque from a 5.0 liter block.  Over 650 hp?  The story gets better and better&#8230;  Both SMS 460 flavors get their insane power increases by utilizing the new SMS 296 Supercharger to provide a healthy breath of forced units.  The P-51B Mustang exhibits the same power output as the P-51A (510hp / 510 lb-ft tq) and has all the associated upgrades (forged internals, fuel system, clutch, brakes, ECM) required to support this increase over a base Ford Mustang.  The crown jewel, of course, is the supercharger unit providing the boost for the P-51B: the next-generation TVS2300 ROUSHcharger setup.  What&#8217;s most exciting about this newest release from ROUSH is that this edition will be equipped with the new <a href="http://www.stangnet.com/Ford-Mustang-News/Covering-Cooper-Roush-Live-from-South-Haven-080929.html" target="_blank">Cooper RS3</a> ultra-high performance tires as well as the Stage 3 suspension
