Anyone game to put their name in the hat for a brand new Ford Mustang?  Better act quickly–this Falken Tire / Vaugh Gittin, Jr tweaked-out 2013 Mustang contest is fired up and ready to rock.  All you need to do is hit up the Ford Racing Facebook fanpage and fill out a quick form.  So what’s the point?  It’s having the chance to win a 2013 Ford Mustang trimmed with a load of Ford Racing parts and has been fully-customized by Formula Drift Drivers Vaughn Gittin, Jr and Justin Pawlak, carrying a reported value of $63,325…not bad at all!

So what’s the catch, you might ask?  Not much–just a lot of the standard stuff you might expect.  Age 18, legal resident of the USA, and you can’t be associated with Falken or Ford…that’s it!  One entry per person, per account, blah blah…and, it ends October 15th, 2012.

This picture truly is worth a thousand words.  What Ford Mustang fan does NOT know what movie this still comes from?  If you don’t know, please just take a seat “over there” while the true blue Mustang fans bask in the awesome-sauce tribute hitting the airwaves within the 2-hour ‘Alcatraz” season finale, tonight on FOX.  The writers and producers of the show are doing their very best to keep it real by featuring a Ford Mustang and a Dodge Charger–only this time around, it’s a 2013 Mustang GT colored in Deep Impact Blue instead.  And yes, before you ask, the filming was completed on the hill-nested streets of San Francisco.

Alright, Florida Ford Mustang fans, get ready for an awesome car show at the Brothers Performance Deland, Florida facility on Saturday, Mat 5th.  Also, if you aren’t a Mustang fan or have friends with other modern muscle aside, the show is also open to Camaro, Corvette, Challenger, Charger, and GTO enthusiasts!  There will be a cruise-in, showdown, dyno runs, a DJ, raffle prizes, and a free Mustang giveaway sweepstakes.

If you are a Ford Mustang fan in the Las Vegas area, you’d better be sure to get up and around to catch the tail-end of the Shelby American 50th Anniversary celebration.  Crazy to think it’s been over 5 decades since Carroll Shelby & company took on the Mustang customization and today, Team Shelby is commemorating the occasion with a cruise, car show, banquet, and two days of track action.

Today’s events will mark the official “Shelby 50th Anniversary Tribute” and every guest in attendance will have access to all things Shelby Mustang at the Shelby American headquarters, right there in Las Vegas.

The 2013 Ford Mustang has made its official debut at the 2011 Los Angeles International Auto Show. We have come to expect the unexpected with all things Mustang in the past contemporary generations, so seeing the next phase of the legendary pony car, simply put, keeps the passion for this automobile on fire.  The 2013 Mustang receives some exterior touches to exude a more aggressive grille & front fascia, fantastic LED lighting, and several different “nice to have” features that make the Mustang the much more appealing to a wider audience.

After seeing how much attention went into the 2013 Ford Mustang for the masses, we knew that the 2013 Shelby GT500 would have an even more impressive showing on the docket in Los Angeles today.  The 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500 will be propelled by an all-aluminum 5.8-liter (351 c.i. anyone?) supercharged V8, rolling along with 650hp and 600 lb-ft of twisting force.  Additionally, Ford and the SVT team with Shelby’s crew left no stone unturned with updates and improvements to the entire powertrain, braking systems, gearing, and suspension tuning.

If that’s not enough, the new Shelby GT500 also gets a redesigned front grille, providing additional downforce at speed, an menacing splitter, roaring exhaust, and lots more fine touches any Mustang enthusiast will appreciate.

It’s no secret any longer…the 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is back and is here to stay.  The updated 2013 Boss 302 builds upon the inaugural success of the 1970s legend’s rebirth in the 2012 model year.  How, you say?  Insane graphics, new paint hues, a rear seat delete, and so many more tweaks that make this car significantly resemble its namesake from the muscle car’s pinnacle era.

We had the first-hand chance to rip up the track in a 2012 Boss 302, and it was quite possibly the best performing, and yet, most refined Mustang to date.  It’s crazy to imagine just what the Ford team could possibly do to make such a great thing…even greater.

Most every player in the aftermarket has sought to tweak ‘n tune the Ford Mustang GT, leaving aside a very capable starting package of the Mustang coupe…until now.

MRT Performance debuted their “TKO” 2012 Ford Mustang coupe at the 2011 SEMA show in Las Vegas & yes, it certainly made an impression!  Starting by making this V6 Mustang scream like it’s older brother was only the beginning.  MRT has completely transformed the 2012 Mustang into a full-fledged road racer ready to rip the track apart.

From forced induction to a complete suspension and braking insanity, the TKO has most anything you can fathom to get gobs of grins!  So much of a knock-out punch, the TKO was awarded the 2011 Outstanding SEMA Design Achievement Award.

There were many flavors of the Ford Mustang found at the 2011 SEMA show in ‘Vegas…but few leave you with a true sense of respect, honor, and nostalgia like one to tribute the fallen and wounded in the United States of America’s Armed Services.  Aftermarket players Webasto and MRT Performance partnered on a new Mustang to pay homage to the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund (FWSF)–a support initiative that reaches out to all branches of the US Military in order to help cover medical costs, transportation and other various financial needs.

The 2011 SEMA show in Las Vegas brought on special editions galore of the famed Ford Mustang, and one more that caught our spied-eye, was the 2012 Mustang “Project Legend” put together by H&R Special Springs LP.  The idea here?  Combine harnessed American muscle with a European styled suspension to make for a car capable of slithering down the Autobahn without missing a beat.

H&R took a 2012 Ford Mustang GT and added a whole host of suspension components to bolster the overall ride and responsiveness of the pony car.  Such add-ons include RSS Club Sport coil-overs and H&R Sway Bars, upgraded tires / wheels, and LOTS more goodies to bolster the power, as well as the appeal of the H&R Springs “Project Legend” Ford Mustang GT.
