No doubt radartec, that is a sweet ride. If mine looked that good I would post a pic BUT it doesn't.My first of 9 was a Turbo Pace car, that was one fun car to drive. Post some more pics of the inside and motor:worship: |

I got a 79. I've had it up for sale for a while now. It's in project stage now. Mine was originally a 2.3 turbo but now has a 71 302 installed by PO. I have everything to put the car back to stock except the TRX wheels and Michelin tires. The picture is before I parked it for a trans rebuild and clutch change. It's kinda rough right now but was my daily driver from 87 to 91 the first time I owned it and 93 to 99 after I bought it back. The owner in-between changed the engine and trans.
Here's a list of the car I used for sales ad:

| | 1979 Pace Cars...... To Date.... I have owned 5 of the 1979 Mustang Pace cars. 2 were the 4 Cyl. Turbos, 2 were V8's and 1 was a 4 Cly. Turbo that had a V8 swaped into it. Those are my favorite FOX Body Mustangs. |

I'd sure like to see a pace car section, I think our pace cars are limited enough to have a separate section because how many do you see every day? I know mine is the only I've seen in like a year. Here is a pic of it.

Thats a sweet ride. Has it been repainted or is that org? What all does it have? Tell us more. Mine is by far the only one I've seen in years so there is no doubt in my mind that I am keeping it. |

I just got my car back from bein repainted about 3 months ago, It has the complete drivetrain out of an 88 LX mustang including fuel injection. I bought the car about 2 years ago for $500, The only thing realy done to it performance wise is a dynomax cat back system K&N filter and a B&M hammer shifter to help me bang through the gears. Heres a pic of the engine, its not pretty but it works. Im gonna clean it up alittle this weekend. Here is a link to my web page if you want to check out more pics. http://members.cardomain.com/79indypacecar |

Yeah, I have Bill's address. There is also a web site that is run by a guy named Ian but he basically uses it for self promotion. He wants $10 to register your car, not me!! I wish someone would get a good site going. I searched mustangpacecar.com and someone has it but there was nothing there. I was thinking about starting a sit. What else could I name it?
Indy Pace Car Registry
p.o. box 261251
Lakewood, Co 80226
William (Bill) Puck
I don;t know if he is still involved but here is his address if anyone is interested. |
