By the way, I bought my 5-lug stock rotors from http://www.moneymakerracing.com/ for $119, including shipping. Appear to be quality parts, Alex is a good guy to deal with, too. |

Hey 1badII,
Do you have spacers on in those pics?
How are the KYB rear shocks holding up? I bought some but haven't installed them yet.
Thanks.

78CobraII | No, no spacers. The KYB's are great. Much better than the 25 year old stockers that were back there before. |

Blue Thunder, did you end up going with the tubular upper control arms? |

Not yet. I decided to cancel the upper arm replacement and put the project on hold until I rake up enough spare change to buy a full coil-over/tubular upper and lower/strut rod eliminator setup, because the front end(especially that strut rod setup which ruins big header clearance) is pissing me off. |

How come different people feel justified in polluting the mustang ii environment on this board with their own private opinions? I'm not just talking about the looney post above but Sleeper's "No Effin Kerry" button and "Screw the ACLU" sig qualifies as well. It invites political criticism on a board that has nothing to do with politics. I'd rather read posts about the most mundane of topics dealing with II's than to have to read a gay post underneath a thread on Wheel/Tire combos.

I have to agree with dmoody on this.
It reminds me when we have to hear the political opinions of
rock stars like M.Stipe or Bono. They're entertainers...I don't
want to hear their take on the middle east, I want to hear them
play music......
Now if anyone wants to Chevy bash here, that's another story.
Fully welcomed.... at least it's more towards the topic of the board. |

So what is the appropriate backspacing for 15x7 wheels or 15x8 wheels. Is it always different? |

Between me and you, people are gonna start to think Turbines were an option for the II's! HAHAHA |

26x10.5's??
Isn't that the same as a 265 width tire, if so would that mean I could fit a 255/60R15 without too much trouble? |

I was messing with my friends wheel/tire combo, and it fit. It was a Weld Draglite wheel, 4.5" backspace, no spacers, with a 255/60/15 tire.
It filled up the whole area really well.
edit: i think the wheel was a 15x8 wheel.

I just could not wait any longer to put some sticky meats on so I went down and got some Mickey Thompson Sportman Pro 10.5 x 15 x 26. They fit great, no rubs, No rolled lips, and no hammer required. I am really liking the 15 x 8's with 4.5" backspace. I will try and get a picture posted. |

What ever happened to the good old days when you just FTP your pictures to your webspace and create a link because all you needed to know is the file name. Instead these jackoffs give you a stupid photo album and no obvious way to get a URL for a specific picture.
Anyhow, try using this URL to my GAY YAHOO photo album. http://f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/cro...@sbcglobal.net
The ones listed with MTWeldx are with the new tires. Sorry for the problems with the urls. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
