Will aftermarket MAF fit in Stock Intake ducting?

Hey guys...was talking to someone today and they said that to run a Pro-M MAF on our cars we have to use a CAI...Is this true?...I want the Pro-M 75mm and was wanting it to go directly in place of my stock one, so that everything retains the stock look and you'd never be able to tell by looking at it. Was he right? I know he know's his stuff, but am just wondering if he was perhaps mistaken on this...Thanks

he is correct to a point only because if you still have the stock air filter housing then you will have to take it all off and use a k & n filter and geta housing for it it will be alot easier to use a cai kit.

I got mine in the stock housing... Worked great... When I get home I'll take pics... Granted I had to modify the housing just a little so the meter would fit but that only took 5 minutes... Not that hard... Only reason I did was to be stealthy...

I have a bullet shapped M/A it was made for the stock housing. I'm looking for rubber cuppling bands to remove it from the stock housing. I have a K&N bigmouth and a TrueFlow pipe to put on it now. I just have to find the right pieces to put my nitrous line in the TrueFlow.
