pictures and video of my sct dyno tune of my blown bird

I went ahead and got my mildly modified bird dynotuned by sct. These are my mods aed rev 1 kit, headers, dual exhaust, 36#hr injectors, 90 mm L maf, 75 mm tb, 01 pi engine and other minor mods. I initaly started at 301 hp and 315 ftlb of torque when I was all said and done I picked up 27 hp and 49 ftlb of torque for a total of 328 hp and 364 ftlb at the wheels. I made over 300 ftlb of torque at the wheels from 1800 rpm to 5500 rpm. I can punch it rolling 40 mph and roast the tires. What do you think?

Congrats, that is one bad bird. My buddy use to have a 91 SC, with all sorts of mods too. But I think yours takes the cake.

I hate to say this but I love embarasing the 5.0 and 4.6 and camarows/firebirds and ss models. My favorite races were when I raced a supercharged civic and a turbo charged civic they each put 10 k into the engine and I totaly smashed and destroyed them. They thought they were bad because they were runing high 13s and mid 14s

Just make sure you stay away from modified camaro/firebirds. They are fast from the factory, but once they start to mod, they are hitting corvette territory.

Are you kidding me? A late-model Firebird/Camaro equipped with an LS1 is beyond corvette territory WITHOUT modifications. You better check yourself.

pics of the car and blower

here is some pictuers. I cut the holes in the bumper for more airflow since the bird dose not have very big openings to let air through compared to a stang it dose run much cooler. The hood is not shut in that picture. It dose have a mustang gt hood scoop that I had to add.

I think he was being sarcastic... LS1's NEVER LOSE.

GREAT CAR!

Wish you had more detailed shots of the main components... aka S/C'er.

you asked for it.

pictures of my blower and other mods and tweeks that I have done or had done.

It is a nightmare to install headers on the bird. I had to drop my K member and lower the engine down below the frame rails to bolt them up then jack up the motor.

picture of the modified intercooler. I had the center inlet opened up for 3/4 inch hose for more coolant flow and to quickly reduce the tempetueres of the air charge tempeture if you look close at the manifold you can see a picture of the lightning air charge tempeture sensor. It is there if the act gets to hot it will pull timing and add fuel to prevent detonation.

Not bad.

Although, if you ever get the chance, you should clean those ports up a tad. I'm not sure what technique you have but, do you use flap wheels? I've noticed that using flap wheels, a wire brush, and a cotton wheel w/ some metal polish works out well. It smooths out the the ports to ap oint where they're almost completely smooth w/ no rough edges.

Also, if you find a small 3M flap wheel, that'll do wonders for making the ports nice and even.
