Will a '99+ stock h-pipe fit my '98GT?

Will a 1999+ stock h-pipe fit my 1998GT? I need one for emissions and figure I pick up a 99+ one because it only has 4 cats and not 6. Plus I have seen more 99+ h pipes for sale. Does anyone know if these pipes will fit a 1998 model? Thanks in advance.

i doubt it..but they might..the 99's are made to fit the length of that paticular car thats why they ask for your year and model when u order one..i do know that the 98 gt's have the same exhaust mani. as the 99 and ups.

The 99+ h-pipes won't fit without rubbing the bottom side of the car...I did the same thing you're wanting to do. Unless you can bend the pipe a little by heating it then you could, but why go through that trouble? Another thing I did was take the back two cats out so that I had four and the sound was slightly noticeable. Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the reply. Would you be able to tell me exactly where it was rubbing? Was it both sides? Thanks.

It was the back cat on the driver side only, right up against the floor pan.
