Video of recent 1/4 mile pass

Here is some video of my 1/4 mile pass... I short shifted into second due to tire spin but besides that it was a pretty smooth run.

video of run: right click, save target as...

Sorry its not the greatest video and the operator didn't know how to focus in...

BTW: I love my magnapacks.. You can't even here me in the video idling, but you could hear me the whole way down the track...

Cool vid, where was the guy filming from??? I offer this as advise, not a flame... I think you could pick up some just by shifting faster. I know your on a T5 still, but if you nail those shifts a bit quicker it will pay off for you. I don't mean to powershift either, just grab them as quick as you possibly can.

I love the comments by your buddies at the end... that makes it all the better!!!

It was being filmed from up in the stands...
Yeah im a granny shifter through and through.. And i even noticed myself how it didn't feel as fast as normal in my shifts.. I think i was just shocked to get off the line fairly well for once without having to feather it and everything else.

I see you said something about the 2nd gear shift, but it sounds like you are shifting WAY WAY low to me...like 5600-5800ish. Are you on the stock tach? I was for 2 years only to find i was off by 600rpm...I was shifting at 5600 instead of what my tach read..6200..lol
I got a lil shift light to cure that..just a thought maybe why you thought u were running outta gear at 121mph.

Looks good though man, I shift lazt as well, with that kinda power the T-5 is doomed, so the easier the better.

Well i do have a shift light even though i don't use it because im not even sure how accurate it is. Its a proform and has a nob on the back.

Anyways i do use the stock tach but i know it to be true because i just reset the needle the other day with my pms unit. Well i should say its right on at 2000 rpms so maybe its not on at 6? Thats something i can check pretty easily, and i know what you mean about it sounding early..

In the car on the other hand it sounds completely different?

my stock tach was dead on up until about 4000+ rpm, after that it started to go way off, it read 6200 or so at about actual 5600. I noticed it when I got my dyno tune.
