Intake identification help

OK guys...anyone out there with a parts master catalog....

I have an intake my dad and I bought at a swap meet back in '92...

I believe it was when we were looking at dropping some 351 heads on the 66 coupe...but I am not sure..

It is an aluminum medium/high rise dual plane intake... Casting - C90X-9424B

and only othe casting on the top "Firing order ...."

I just got home from digging parts out of the barn...grabbed this too didn't flip it over to check the date code or any numbers underneth...

I'll try to post some pics tomorrow evening...

Anyone help identify this?

Ron

It sounds like the Ford Power Parts intake.
It was make by Edelbrock.
They cast up their F4B intake but put Ford numbers on it.
Good intake. Alot like the Performer RPM... better top power than a Performer.
Personally, I don't see the intake as more valueable than an F4B, but it's a fact that folks will pay more for it because of the Ford numbers.

If it is not an SBF intake, but rather a W intake, then it is a Buddy Bar cast intake for Ford Power Parts. FPP was back then what FMS is now... Ford marked parts that are made by aftermarket companies. Edelbrock makes most of the intakes, then and now.

dave hit it right one the head. that is supposed to be one of the best flowing SBF intakes around even 35 years later. do a little port matching and smoothing of the casting flash in the runners and you'll have a badass intake

so...

So then my memory was coorect and it is a 351 intake...So now I need some 351 heads to mate the intake to....

Hmmm...

I guess now the cards are playing out to go back into the engine...

now what to do...

Have a performer 289 & edelbrock carb sitting on the coupe doing nothing...

Have this intake...

bottom end should be good...

What heads do you all recommend to mate with this intake...or should I sell it and use the performer 289???
