Cool What brake Upgrades did you do? (for Hemmings Mustang Magazine)

I am working on parts 3 & 4 of the "Whoa-ing Your Pony" articles for Hemmings Mustang Market & Tech Gude Magazine. The first two parts covered the Classic years, now I am working on the Fox-Chassis Ponies. You guys came through great last time, so I am asking again for ideas.

Both Front & Back, what upgrades did you do? I already have the Mk VII Calipers & Rotors on the front, and Conversion to 5-Lug axles and SN-95 non-Cobra rear disc brakes covered. Tell me your upgrades, and post a pic if possible. I always try to use members from here, as I have done so many times in the past.

Anything from just the pads to full-blown racing brakes, bring it on! Pics, pics, pics!

Many thanks in advance!

Dan

'88 GT

SS braided brake lines
Powerstop drilled rotors up front, stock drums in rear
Hawk street+ pads front and back

Made a HUGE difference from stock. Way less brake fade when its hot and shorter stopping distance.

Rears, currently, stock Expecting a Turbo Coupe rear disc swap though

'92 four-cylinder LX

5.0 spindles, rotors, calipers
Hawk pads
stainless caliper bushings
Stock rear drums

Stops waaay better than the stock four-cylinder crap. After the turboswap, I'll probably do the MC swap, 73mm calipers and rear discs.

SS braided brake lines Front (2) Rear (1)
Slotted rotors up front, stock drums in rear with new hardware
Hawk street+ pads front and shoes in rear
Stainless caliper bushings
93 Cobra MC
73mm calipers
New non adjustable proportioning valve

Stops better than stock 5.0 GT but right front locks up too early. Could use a bigger power brake booster but is ok around town but needs a lot of effort. Needs a 93 Cobra Booster unit for a cure.

'86 GT (old school upgrade)
stock = F - 10" rotors; R - 9" drums
now = F- 87-93 spindles, 11" rotors, SVO 73mm calipers, SVO large bore M/C, braided lines, stainless steel caliper sleeves and manual proportioning valve.
R- Stainless Steel Brakes Rear Disk kit (same as T-Bird Turbo Coupe or 93 Cobra) - 10" vented rotors, single piston caliper.
Performance pads all around, still four lug wheels!
