I'm just curious, I have no intention of buying a S\C atm but me and my buddy were talking and we'r curious to know if a S\C can fit on a stock 5.0 or 4.6 motor ? Or you need some better heads\intake\cam etc...

By all means, a s/c will fit on a stock engine. You'll get a lot of power out of it. You'll see better gains from the s/c if you have better h/c/i installed. What gains you get vary on what parts you have, boost from the s/c, etc.

Most of the kits are bolt on type of stuff. Some accesories may need to be relocated in some instances, most kits accomodate for this, well, my KB did anyway. The addition of other performance parts usualyy enhance a S/C's capabilities. The variables are infinite, all depends on how deep your pockets are.

Okay and another quick question... How much in HP\TQ gains a good H\C\I mod will pull out ? 50-100hp? 150hp?

(going by what I see here on Stangnet) Most guys are putting out right around 300HP to the wheels, with h/c/i, and other supporting cast (pulleys, exhaust, headers, CAI, etc) I would assume any h/c/i combo will "come with" exhaust being done. If the combo is right and done right, you could get 100 to the wheels.

The S/C with stock h/c/i, but other mods.. (exhaust, etc) will get you about 125 to the wheels.. It's not all as "usable" as the nice h/c/i combo, but a quick way to get the power.

My "own" recommendation on the blower is to at least have exhaust and an better intake, and to have a 255 in tank pump (not just the T-rex that the Vortech comes with), and larger fuel injectors instead of the FMU...

I went from 180rwhp to 320rwhp with the vortech S trim on a bone stock motor with headers and an x pipe ( stock catback) I would have to figure thats close to a 200 motor h/p gain or 140 more ponies to the ground.

Its not un common for a turbo system on a completely bone stock motor to gain 300 rwhp ( on decent boost)

Figure in on any of these power adders your going to want to run larger injectors ( such as 42lb'ers) and a good fuel pump or two (inline/intank) and have a good tune, running on 93 octane.

Not too many heads, cam, intake packages can pull close to 140 h/p or more gain, unless you go with more cubes and more radical camshafts and such.

Thank god S/C can bolt up to stock motors. H/C/I combo usually brings you close to 300 RWHP. S/C are advertised as 50-60% gain most of the time.
