17.4 around town, and 22.3 from Dothat Al to Savannah. The CAI, SCT 93 tune and Flowmaster Cat back made Zero difference. |

08 GT std trans, 3:55 gears. Car is bone stock with 8k miles. My commute is 30 miles one way with 25 of that at highway speed. Mine's averaging 22.5-23.0 every tank. I make a highway run to Austin (190 miles roundtrip) approx once a week at 75-80 mph and it averages 28.5 mpg every time. Needless to say I am very happy with the mileage! |

JEEZ! Whats wrong with me or my car? I get about 11-12 on my daily commute. OK I rag it, but whats all this talk of MPG in the twenties? The only time I got it anywhere near the mid twenties was on a long distance 60mph trawl.
I've got an '05 with 40+K, but its always been around that... Am I stupid or just driving way fast? |

if kilometers, man that sucks, that would be like 7 miles to the gallon, haha.
i rag on it, occasionally, and i'm getting around 18.9, no highway. |

And even though we invented the Imperial system (I think), metric is creeping in. So for some reason we still do distance in Miles, but gas is sold in Litres. US Gallons are different to UK Gallons, but thats irrelevant anyway as its a standard US car... Either way, the price we pay for gas here its terrifying.
I know you guys are all concerned about gas prices, but if you think you got it bad, think again:
We pay £1.20 per Litre.
1 Litre is about 0.26 of a Gallon
The Dollar/Pound exchange rate is about 1.8
So a Gallon (US) would cost us about $8.40 a Gallon!
I try not to look at my MPG readout. |

ah i see.
its all in the person. i personally love driving my car, and if i got anything else, it would be even worse on gas. i pull up to the pump with a smile, if i wanted gas mileage, i'd get a prius type car, i wanna look bad ass and sound bad ass in a bad ass car.
you don't get compliments driving a prius around town, you get comments driving a mustang, even though theres 300 around every block, a nice clean one catches attention. |

I've got 11,000 miles on mine and my average for the life of the car is 22.6. I have a good mix of in town and interstate driving. I also do regular full throttle blasts from stops signs and on ramps. It does much better than my truck that I don't hot rod. |

I went to vegas twice since i got my car and i got 24mpg on the first trip (all highway) averaged between 3 tanks there and back but after getting offroad x-pipe and catback and cold air the second trip i averaged 30mpg (all highway averaged between 3 tanks again). I noticed that i get better milage if im cruising at 70 in 4th gear than in 5th gear too. Im very happy with the overal mpg on my stang tho. I usually average about 17mpg on the street and freeway mixed when normally going about my week. |

If theres a gas station by the highway, I either fill up at Marathon, or Shell. No BP garbage. The car does great with those 2 companies, and if its by the highway, I will fill up and get back on. Make sure to reset the counter for MPG, But I got 22.5 the other day.....and in cold weather!

Been watching the gas mileage for the last three months since I got the new C&L Racer intake and tune from Modular Muscle. I have documented a ~2MPG improvement. Before the intake and tune, I was at 17/24 (city/hwy), and now I am running (19/28)...
pretty cool. |

I bought my GT on December the 12th of '08, and I've only put about $30 worth of gas in, since that day ... my fuel mileage is incredible ... 'course I've only put about 300 miles on it since purchase date ... LOL |
