I have since installed pullies, and the last 1000 miles or so have seen ~.5 mpg improvement. I seem to be driving more aggressively lately, so I could see someone getting a 1 mpg improvement from these.

Haven't checked recently, but the overall best that I've gotten is taking a drive down 101 from the Bay Area to LA area, setting cruise control to 70 basically the whole way, and getting around 30 mpg in my v6 manual mustang. Pretty impressive for me. Though I think my best non long trip one was 23 when I was doing a lot of freeway driving.

2007 GT manual - - 100% stock - - leadfoot driver

14 mpg city - - - 20 mpg hwy

In defense of my car's poor mpg I can only say:

I did not buy a GT for good gas mileage but to have fun

and total fuel consumption equals mpg x miles driven and not just mpg.

My GT has less than half the annual gas consumption of my neighbor's 34 mpg econo box because I work locally and put only 7k miles per year on it compared with 36k for him.

So in addition to being waaaaaay more fun my GT is better for the environment : )

Averaged 24 mpg on a 270 mile trip to Austin with my new JLT CAI and Brenspeed 93 tune. I'll break 5k on the mileage this week.

Sitting at a red light the other day a V6 pulled up to me and the driver asked what my MPG was... he about barfed when I told him. I'm averaging 23mpg since I got the car (city, granted not as congested of a city as a lot of you guys) and as high as 26 full highway. I'm getting a little less than my '00 V6 used to get (24-26 city) and actually better than my '07 V6 got (22).
