So my Trunk Pop and lock buttons no longer work...

I noticed when i got back from vacation last week that my trunk pop mysteriously stopped working. Then this week i tried to unlock my doors with the lock buttons in the car and they didnt work either. The thing is that the locks themselves actually work, when i do my alarm they lock and unlock, and when i start the car they lock and when i turn it off they unlock(an alarm feature) but for some reason the buttons do nothing at all. I wonder if these two things are connected in some way or not, any input would be great.

I dont think that the trunk is related, other than that you might have a trunk popper on your alarm fob (if so, does it work? It will use a different power source to pop the lock, so if it works, that suggests that the power source to the popper is a problem).

Do you know if you had factory keyless? That would help (folks like Shane) help you diagnose the locks.

Good luck bud.

Yeah i talked to LoudToy(shane) right after i posted this, he said its probably a fuse thing because they run on different power because of my alarm. As for the trunk pop no i dont that on my alarm yet, but im gonna go check the fuses and see what happens.

If you can't get it figured out, give me a call. You can stop by my garage and we can figure it out. Just gotta find where the power stops then figure out why. Looking forward to the new tranny though. Gotta check it out.

If you can wait, we can do the locks and trunk troubleshoot when we do the suspension upgrades. Talk soon man.................
