| | | true blue??...I have some questions
I have a 03 true blue gt convertable. I was just wondering what makes true blue so special that stangnet would have whole forum devoted to them? Were they produced in limited quantities or something?
Anyways I love the color of course...purple sometimes in the shade...dark blue under low light...metallic blue during bright days and sometimes even black at night. Love it! It always had made my mustang truely stand out no pun intended. The only problem is i find it nearly impossible to keep really clean. It shows every speck of dirt!
Anyways back to the originial question...whats up with true blue?! |

I think of it as a mini club, kinda like the yellow registry and the black mustang club. I believe there actually was a true blue mustang registry at one time and if found it's way over to stangnet. |

Yeah, limited production. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe less than 10k Mustangs were made in "True Blue Metallic" between 01-03. Love the color!

thanks for the info
If anyone is in the tri state nyc area let me know. I know of one mustang club in my area that frequently does cruises. Theres only one other true blue stang, an 03 gt coupe i believe.
Anyways, when I was in Florida I saw a pack yellow stangs from this show...maybe a yellow registry event as you mentioned. Anyways...all late model yellow gts, cobras, verts etc all stopped at a light reving their **** - was pretty awesome sight. Would be sweet to see a pack of true blues someday. |

There were just a little over 300 true blue cobra's made in 2001, the only year a cobra was made in true blue. That's part of it.

I'm an active member of another board which has a strong NY presence (L.I. specifically). A number of the members head out to OBI on Sunday mornings (Out past Jones Beach). Come out and look for a number of stangs that are parked together.
One warning, get there early - the lot fills up by 7:30am

The Bullitts and Cobras make it rare color on those respectfully, but do not necessarily make it special. 'Special' in my opinion is all about the interesting effects of the blue hue, whether its a V6, GT, Bullitt or Cobra.
With the medium parchment interior and the True Blue, there were only 86 other coupes made like mine in 2001. On top of that, mine got the Teksid block, giving it a tad more rarity.
I know some ponder why there is a True Blue forum but its one unique aspect of Stangnet seeing as how no other Mustang board singles out the True Blue Mustang owners. |

Anyone have a True Blue with Black interior? Just curious? Pics?

I will have to look for a True Blue and compare. |

| The Cobra and Bullitt numbers are usually broken down by individual exterior/interior colors more precisely due to their limited production. There were a total of 316 True Blue Cobra SVT coupes made and all of those were in 2001. Black interiors were not used in 2001. Only the Charcoal and the Medium Parchment. There were 229 TB Cobra coupes made with Charcoal interior and 87 with Medium Parchment. |

I will have to look for a True Blue and compare. | Sonic Blue is a very nice color, but definitly different. True Blue is darker. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
