Hp/Torque qoute

I have plugged everything into my desktop dyno and its giving my numbers but they seem a little high for what I have so I figure I would ask you guys and get some real world ideas.

N/A for now through a T-5. The Desktop dyno is giving me 398hp at 7500 but I'll never see that at 6500 its giving 390 with 361 torque at 5k. If 15% for manual that would be 331/307 to the rear N/A. with the 100 shot the dyno give me 593 torque at 2k flywheel and another 100 hp lol.

Torque is usually higher, unless you spin it to the moon. As for the 100 shot, yeah right. I don't see that thing being accurate at all.

without the nitrous, you might be making 290 hp, 310 tq at the fly. Figure 240 hp at the wheels, 270 tq.

There is no way that thing is making 398 hp N/A. I don't know if you've had it to the track, but you'd be good to break into the 8's in the 1/8th mile.....

Desktop Dyno is usually a bit optimistic in my opinion. I am expecting 410-415fwhp, I'll be pleased with 420, but DD says even higher...

Did you do the porting yourself? If you're having them done I'd recommend using the larger Chevy valves, the ones you have are a little small for that cam (great choice btw).

Na I bought them ported that way. I'll have to dyno it, there is one about 30min from here. I didn't think I was close to the hp/torque numbers it was saying but I thought I was at least 300 at the rear. Well lets put it this way. I know my times suck at 14.49 but I know on a cooler day and me rev it higher before I drop it I think I would be pushing 13.9s on the old combo. With these new heads its night and day going by the seat-of-my-pants o meter. I guess the only real way to tell is track/dyno time.

Thanks for the input though.
