How Much Can the 03-04 Cobra's Really Handle!!!!

I am looking at buying a 03 cobra and I was wondering, how much the block can handle hp. Because I know they are stock 390hp I was wondering if anyone has there cobra's way above that cause I would like to get to around 500-600hp and I was wondering if thats possible on this block.

Yeah its possible. Just go look at the SVT forums and see how much people are making in their sigs etc. I believe (i think...) there have been people to make 800~1000hp with twin turbo systems on a stock 03/04 cobra longblock.

Bottom end is forged from the factory, pretty damn durable.

Its all in the tune with forced induction.

HOLY RUN ON SENTENCE BATMAN!!!

yes the block itself can handle tons more power, but from what I understand the internals are limited to around 650? not sure though. I am quite sure it would handle what your talking about though

500-600 hp seems pretty common on those things...the bottom end in those motors is easily built for it. Those cobras are monsters!

there are a lot of people that have gotten awesome numbers on the stock blocks, but there are a lot that have had to rebuild as well, I was only at 470 rwhp and 500 rwtq when my 03 cobra engine needed to be rebuilt, tune done by a very reputable tuner. You read about a lot of people running insane numbers on the stock 2v blocks also. The pistons and the hot spot on the driver's side head at the 7 and 8 pistons are the weak areas of the stock cobra blocks.

The 03-04 Cobra makes some insane numbers.I have seen KB Cobra's
making 800-900 rwhp and twin turbo Cobra's making 900-1000 rwhp
it's absolutely crazy if you ask me!
