Wow, that sounds and looks great. Is that the CDC side exhaust? Is that the system that comes with it? |

heres some horrable pics of my set up but you get the point. I'd recomend 2 45 degree bends if you can fit it on your model, i couldn't

sorry so many questions but i've been wanting to do that kind of setup for a while! i also want to someway fit in subframe connectors |

i believe the kit came with a Dynomax catback... since i got mine used i wanted Spintech so i just used the spintech catback with the CDC tips.. |

I dont have 45 degree bends only a gradual 90 degree once like in the pic (not sharp at all), 2 45's would be minorly less restrictive but i couldn't fit it. power LOSS? comming out the side is a whole lot better than going all the way over the axle and out that back, plus the barrel resonator i have from magnaflow is tiny and provides just enough back pressure w/ my high flow cat's for very smooth exhaust flow with enough back pressure, best iv seen in person.
As to the parts - i ordered all the piping, tips, and resonator then just went to my friends shop and we fab'd it all together in about 2 hours.

I just picked up a Mac o/r Xpipe and i dont know if i like the tone i have now, i think i might switch the centerpiece from a X to a H and see if i like it again. if not, im just gonna take the Xpipe out and throw the stock H back on.
I tried it just for ****s and giggles but IMO from what ive seen Xpipes on side exhaust are FTL! |

my dream exhaust on my car was a set my O/R H withS-type (stinger mufflers) from borla and fab some pipe up to a roush side exhaust system. that was my dream that I never accomplished. |

i have been thinking of getting a side exhaust, but i wanted to keep my flowmasters, and i cant find tips to fit into the SVO skirts, so if anyone knows where i an get some let me know....oh, and i found this clip of a V6 with a side exhaust, i saved the video just to show how the pipes were ran, the sound of them on a 6 isnt too exciting.
if you go 20 seconds into it, there is the underbody pic. http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ust_Clip_1.flv |

got a link to the SVO sides? i know CDC makes a side skirt kit for the 94-98's, and i believe they use a special borla tip, but not 100% sure on that.
i think youll need to get a custom headerback exhaust welded up if you want to stick with flow's, as most side exit setups either use a in/out muffler (a muffler with the inlet and outlet on the same side) or a straight-through (like a magnapack or whatever). |

abcexclusive.com has a side exhaust that looks basically the same as SVO, but i have a friend that might have a extra set to sell me...and i have already heard of someone using flows with the SVO skirts, but they dont have any pics of the setup...
and i wouldnt see a problem using my flows and the MAC o/r H i have, or i could just shorten it up easy. |

anyone know where i can buy the spinech side exhaust kit for a good price? im a huge fan of spintech. i used to have a pair of dumped spintech pro-streets with an O/R H-pipe. it was the meanest sound you could ever hear. |

2. I dont even have mufflers.
Anything that snakes back and forth is worse than going over the axle. And eliminating both of those would be better than either. CDC/Spintech have shown net losses in power over the rpm range. Im not hating on the name, or the sound - just the design which is horrable. Please stop being disrepectful, I haven't shown anyone here from this 1 year old thread any animosity.

I'm just interested in hearing what yours sounds like and if sounds similar to most kits. Im also just sick of you telling everyone that inlet/outlet side exhaust kits make you cry because they don't flow. My kit makes the same as most catbacks. Sure its not your design, but they did it so the mufflers would work in the stock location on the hangers and not under the floorboard....its it that bad of a design |

How am I being disrespectful there? If your mad at me hating inlet outlet exhaust just like others hate stingers then fine, but don't pull up 5 month old posts of mine saying Im being disrespectful when your telling me to shut the **** up. Im done with this, this is a mustang forum - I don't wanna turn it into an online debate course on semantics.

Wow, I just wanted to hear his exhaust. But since he isn't going to read this.....Imo his tips are big and look odd. "I've seen worse, whatever floats his boat." |
