| | | Just ordered a mac catback...(video up!)
Well Im sick of the borlas being too quiet at idle even with the cam, I just wanted something louder and everytime Ive heard Mac's in person Ive loved them, it just feels like 5.0s SHOULD sound raspy and it just doesnt sound right when they have really deep tones like magnaflow/borla etc.. So I went ahead and ordered some, got a really good price at americanmuscle.com, they should be here friday Ill definitally have before/after videos up!
Nevermind the fact it will be nice to have some slash cut tailpipes on the damn thing after 2 years of ugly ass borla square tips, I got the 3 inch stainless tips...
*****VIDEO ON PAGE 2******

Put the system together on a flat surface and bolt the hole thing up so you know how the flow tubes go on to the muffler, I personally love MAC cat backs. I cant wait to hear your car with it on. Im ordering that same cat back this summer. |

| | Excellent choice. Macs are one of the best sounding mufflers imo. It could go either way on the install. My buddy's car has a mac x-pipe and mac cat back and it all fit together great. My car has a Mac x-pipe, and I had no fitment problems either. A lot of people say they do though. Sometimes I think it's the tool holding the tools. |

You will deff. like the mac. I think it's the meanest sounding set-up. There was this guy at a local met that had a nice clean white hatch with white pony's. It was a h/c/i car that went 12.30's.....my 14.8 car sounded way sicker with the mac's...I mean if you like the sleeper effect but come on really.....these are not grandma cars...if your going to have a car the runs sick might as well make it sound sick....my $.02

I have the MAC catback on my '95. No installation problems and it sounds great. Only problem in the tailpipe barely touches the gas tank cover and melted it a little. I tried high heat tape on the cover, but that melted too, so I'm just gonna adjust the pipe with a hammer when I get some time. The sound is great though...WAY better than the flowmasters that were on the car.
Those Borlas do sound badass though, but you can tell they're not as loud. |
