| | | TFS stage 1 cam, anyone have this?
Hi all... I want to change the cam for my little setup (C9TE heads with 1.94/1.6 valves, ported + Cobra intake). How lift do you think I can get away with stock pistons (89 block)? I figure the stage 1 cam will be a good street/strip spec with the 69 heads. Anyone have a video of a 5.0 idling with this cam? Does it sound good? I love the lumpy idle but don't want to choose a cam that will destroy power just for the sound.
thanks |

I have the FR "F" cam, but I have heard in person, and rode in an 87 ford ranger w/a 5.0 that had that cam. Pulls strong and the idle was lopey, but not enuff to cause any issues. I think you will like it very much. |

The TFS1 has a nice little lope to it. I went with the TFS1 because I wanted the car to ride almost like stock, which it does of good job of doing. Now that I'm power hungry, I wish I would have gone with something a little more wild. |

Heres a few vids. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9...fe0182d935.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/video/f...d701349902.htm
I have a really long incar vid too but its not up on streetfire.
Ive also noticed ,when you retard the timing with this cam, back to around 10 degrees it has more of a rythmic lope that most people are used to. |
