Seeking Production Number of 99GT-LE

I have a 1999 GT, 35th Anniversary - Limited Edition Mustang. The VIN is : 1FAFP45X7XF170663.

I have contacted Ford but they cannot tell me the production number of my LE-GT. I know there were 4,628 35th Anniversary Limited Editions built and I know the breakdown in coupes /convertibles and by colors.

I ordered this car new and it was delivered 3/31/99.

I have shown this car at several Mustang shows and recently won a First Place trophy at a National MCA Show. I understand that someone on this forum can provide the production sequence number for this car. I would appreciate the help.

pic of document on my car

Here is the production info on my car I got from some guy in Michigan. I paid him $25 and he sent me this really nice breakdown of my car based on the VIN. It is great to display at car shows. Quality print on quality paper.

http://img516.imageshack.us/my.php?i...akes001tn1.jpg

E-mail the guy at the bottom of the pic and see if he'll send you one.

hello,

I can help with that information. Your GT is # 4544 according to VIN #.

You might find this interesting as well, My GT is 233222 # 4543.

In all the years I've been giving out this info, I never gave out a number close to mine.

What color is yours? vert or coupe? be cool to know what yours is.

Lucky You! How many miles? PICS? I got a beater ranger from my in-laws.... nah, just kidding...it has saved my GT for fair weather use only for many years now. So I can't complain.

HI jason, Can you give me my production number ??

HI , I am in Mentor, OH. I am the original owner of a White 35th Anniversary Convertible. I am just putting it up for sale. HONESTLY, to all of my fellow 99 GT Limited Edition owners... is $9999. enough to be asking?? I am going to put my photo bucket page site on this, check it out 68900 miles. EXCELLENT condition. NEW white top, Professionally Tinted Window, NON smoker. I know that only a total of 512 white convertibles and coupes were produced. Does any one know any further information, regarding the breakdown of coupes vs convertibles? So white is kind of rare. I would also like to know the production number. Here is my VIN:
1FAFP45X1XF214527

Thanks for all of your help, I appreciate it !!

Hi Debi,

What a fantastic looking "Limited Edition" GT. I am alos an original owner with about 68,000 miles(+/-).
I think $9999(let's just say $10,000) is fair as long as you get the full amount, I wouldn't take less than that for my coupe. Your Vert' should bring more, like $11,000-$11,500. Its looks to be in great shape. Unless your trying to sell it fast of course, I'd sit on a minimum of $10,000 starting at 11,500 that gives you some room to come down if you want to. If you say $10,000 they will offer $1000 less, right off the bat.

Btw, you GT is # 3793 of 4,628 built according to VIN#

I wanted a white or silver "Limited" but they were hard to find at the time, now we know why....

Thanks and good luck!
-Jason

Thank you Jason

Thanks so much for your response...I did want to sell it quick...But I think I will say FIRM on all of my advertising... I had two people email yesterday...One kind of understands the Limited Edition thing..the other acted like I was nuts asking that for a '99 Mustang. I will wait it out for 10,000. Thanks for your time and checking the VIN production number for me. If you know of anyone looking for a WHITE Anniversary Edition, let me know. Also, One more question. If 512 White cars were produced, it there anywhere to find out how many of those were convertibles?? I remember, of course I am going back 10 years..But the dealer told me something about an explosion at the Ford convertible plant and that is why the white is so Limited in production compared to other colors...Did you or any of the readers ever hear that...or was that a "salesman" story?? thanks, Debi

I know some time ago there was someone who could give a breakdown of each VIN#. How many with certain options/colors/etc. But not sure who. I became the
2nd holder of the VIN# information I gave you. The colors about evenly split between coupe and vert. There were 515 white L.E. GT's.

35th Anniversary Edition Pkg
Total Production: 4,628
BODY STYLE
Coupes 2,318
Convertibles 2,310
COLOR
Performance Red 1,555
Black 1,299
Silver 1,259
Crystal White 515

There was an explosion at the plant in 1999, effectively shutting the plant down. Consequently, fewer 1999 Mustangs were built overall than they intended. As you can see below it cut into production quite heavily.

Mustangs built in 1999 - 126,067
Mustangs built in 2000 - 218,067

See article.

Ford Plant - Thanks Jason

Hi, Thanks for the information on the Ford Plant explosion in 1999. It was interesting to read..and it did impact the production that year.
I have had some calls and emails regarding my car... I don't think these are real Mustang lovers...because they don't understand the Limited Edition or the rarity of a 35th Anniversary mustang. People just keep quoting Kelly Blue book for a 99 Mustang. I will hang in there. Have a great weekend. Debi

Hey thanks for the site regarding pricing on my 35th anniversary car, I think if someone gets it for the 10,000 they are doing awesome, especially according to that pricing. Have a good day. Debi Mentor,OH
