Junkyard parts question

I needed a complete set of bolts for all of the accessories and water pump. SO I went to the jy. Well I found a complete 5.0 engine, but it was a 88 t-bird (my 5.0 is a 88 as well). On the surface everything looked as it would on a mustang. My question are the bolts and accessory brackets the same as a 5.0? I grabbed all the bolts anyway, but I was thinking about going back and grabbing the brackets. Do they setup the same?

Also on the same car. I had to drill out and retap and bolt hole on the block (one of the ones that takes a bolt for the water pump). So now one bolt has to be abit bigger. Will that cause problems down the line? Besides have to bore a hole hout everytime I change the water pump. Also where can I buy a bigger bolt?

Thanks

I believe that the bolts
on the 5.0 are SAE thread.
Before I would go to a JY to strip off old
bolts 20 years old I woud go to NAPA
and get what I need.

There is no problem having two
bolts with different diameters on the
water pump. Why are you having to retap
the holes? are bolts too loose?

Bolt had broken off in the block and I couldnt tap it out so it had to be drilled and rethreaded , but now I need a bigger bolt and have to drill out one of the holes on the water pump.

Thanks for the advice on the bolts. I doubt napa would have them all, but will check. Just wanted to make sure that the 5.0 engine in that t-bird is the same as the 5.0 engine in my stang. I assume it is since they are both the same year.,

I would imagine that you've already considered installing a helicoil to bring the thread size back down to stock?

Most local part stores carry helicoil kits I know advanced auto does for sure cause thats where I grabbed mine from. they tell you exactly what size drill bit to use and usually come with the right size tap.

The steering pump and a/c brackets are different on a T-Bird.
