What kind of ground clearance do you have with the JME kit? It is looking pretty sweet. |

really cool build. too bad you're not gonna debut it at SEMA next week. i would love to get an up close look at it and i thought that is where they are having a competition to get your car in GT2. i like how your build is not overkill but has all the goodies to make a great driver and awesome looking car. get er done! |

Ground clearance isn't an issue at all with this kit I believe I have a pic of one already finished that I can show you later today. |

There is a company here that has a car here locally that is 139k. It has 18 functional body mods and a GT40 crate motor, and just not functional. Not sure what the total will be on this one, but know which one will be more fun to drive.
Darreld, not sure on the ground clearance. (AJE kit ) Rich is going to bring his car to the BBQ today so I can look at his. Right now I an looking at about a 3in drop and 2 inch setback on the engine before we hit the K-member. What to see what his looks like before I drop this one that low.

Got it up and level to check where the engine might go. Have to check ride hieght before making it 100% though.
So it's nice and low in there, for now.
Nobody would let us "borrow" a tire, so had to buy used. It's a little taller than what will go on, but for testing purposes, it will be fine. We are going with a 275/35/18. the has the nick name "Steam roller"now
Set the tires in there to take a look. They are taller than they will be again, but just an idea.

10sec, can you explain your choice on the motor so far? What's the cam being used for the turbo choice? |

For wieght (road racing) wanted to keep it small. Thought about a big 351. Power would be easier. But with "only" wanting somewhere over 800, a 363 will definitely do the job. A stock hood is also much easier. And it's just a tiny engine bay with or without towers, so that played a role also.
Cam, went hyd from Cammotion. Have to check to see exactly, but a pretty small cam considering what's asked of it. Was 542 I think, 224 @.050. It's a split pattern with the exh side being a little less in lift and duration.
The end result should be fairly stupid. Intercooler should be the only sign of boost. The exhaust will be dead quite until the turbo starts cuttin some air. |

Too much idle time with a hobby knife and some black epoxy glue. Takes two 302 and one 460 emblem... |

Vaugh Machine did it in LA. Kinda pricey. Weldcraft was 20 a rim, this was 300. But This company doesn't do a band like weldcraft. Never heard of a band failing, but aluminum is so weak when it's welded, we figured with the HP safer to have only one bead. Not sure on the material, but if I had to guess, it's cast or billet. But I would lean towards billet. Where he machined, it doesn't look cast. I also looked at the weights, and one of the them ONLY has two small weights. Very little needed. Never seen anything only need that amount. |

Nice clean work and not a lot of weights on the inside for that big a rim/tire:
Looks nice on there! Ride height not set yet though. |
