Do you honestly think him going to Yale had anything to do with his intelligence? Hell, the only reason he got into Yale in the first place was because of his fathers influence. Graduating from an Ivy League school isn't the tough part...it's getting into one in the first place. Quote:

For the record, I don't consider him an "idiot" in the traditional sense. But he's not a great speaker, very often makes rash decisions without thinking them through, he has a reckless attitude towards politics and a dangerous arrogance about him that's gotten him and as a result America into trouble on many an occasion. |

He really only got elected once....and even that was questionable. His first term came as an appointment by the Supreme Court.
Let's face it, everything he's touched has turned to ****. |

Look at what we got this year for instance.
Obama the great appeaser is a FRESHMAN Senator and a Liberal who wants to help the middle class and the poor- Which I'm all for- but he also has a history of wanting to take our God given rights away by passing laws, and more laws, and then some more laws. That is the liberal in him. You see he has to be able to make a "Change" and if he isn't passing stupid laws then he's not making "change".
Then there is McCain. Who just yesterday I heard say "The economy is in great shape."
WTF? The economy IS geared toward international trade right now and for big business, not for Strype, PinStrype and Strypette. Gas might hit $5 per gallon, EVERYTHING has gone up whether it's groceries, McDonalds meals, etc... And I'm supposed to sit there and take a slap in the face like that at the dinner table eating a TV dinner that 3 years ago cost $2.50 and I just paid $4 for it? Give me a break.
So WTF is John Q. Public supposed to do? I'm a fairly moral person so usually I go for the most moral candidate, i.e. Abortion.
But I'm pissed off at this country.
1) Social Security was never meant for EVERYONE to benefit from. The age is set at 65 and needs to be raised.
2) Jesus H. Christ. Guns do not kill people. People do. Leave my 19 round clips and pistols alone. Instead focus on the economic reasons that people murder others. Something you can change.
There are 3 reasons to murder according to many Psychologists (as seen on "Bullchit"):
a) Passion- I walked in on my love with another man, or she's leaving
b) Money- I was hired to do so or I will reap the benefits from this guy's stolen wallet
c) Thrill- Jeff Dauhmer etc...
Taking away any gun won't help these reasons.
3) The War in Iraq.
Dear folks,
90% of people were behind Bush to go after terrorists. Whether you believe Iraq was a correct decision or not, can not change the fact that we've screwed it up and we should leave it better than we found it. Either stay or let the UN do something and spend other countries' money.
And that's the tip of the iceburg. I need to get back to work.

Bush was the lesser of the two evils? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Did the definition of evil change while I was in Afghanistan or Iraq?
And if experience is Obama's biggest flaw, consider that the Bush administration was filled with tons of experienced people and we see how wonderfully that worked out. |

American military officials say Israel launched a major military exercise that appeared to be aimed in part at demonstrating its ability to stage an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
Israel's military refused to publicly confirm or deny whether the exercise was a rehearsal for a potential bombing attack. But a senior Israeli air force official close to the operation said helicopters were used in the exercise to practice in the event of a downed plane.
Pentagon officials said Israel sent dozens of aircraft on the large-scale mission in the eastern Mediterranean in early June.
One defense official said the exercise could be taken as a show of force to Iran and a demonstration to the world that Israel is serious about the need to challenge the country's nuclear program — and might be prepared to do so militarily.
"They have been conducting some large-scale exercises — they live in a tough neighborhood," one U.S. official said, though he offered no other recent examples.
The Jerusalem Post reported that a senior cleric in Iran warned Israel, in response to the drill, that it would react to such an attack with a "strong blow."
But one senior Israeli air force source with knowledge of the exercise said the mission, flown by F-15s and F-16s, was meant to test their refueling capabilities and plan in the event of a downed plane — and that it occurred in mid-May, not June.
The source said the air force got permission from the countries along the Mediterranean to fly the mission. The Israeli air force needed permission to conduct the exercise from all the countries whose air space was entered and even to fly in international air space, according to the official. The Israeli planes flew above civilian air space to avoid disrupting any passenger jets.
The source said Israel is preparing for all eventualities with regard to Iran.
The New York Times first reported Friday that more than 100 Israeli fighter jets took part in the maneuvers over the eastern Mediterranean and Greece. Citing undisclosed American officials, it said the exercise appeared to be an effort to focus on long-range strikes.
The aircraft used in the drill flew a distance of about 900 miles — similar to the distance between Israel and uranium enrichment facilities at Natanz, the officials said.
"They wanted us to know, they wanted the Europeans to know and they wanted the Iranians to know," the Pentagon official told the Times. "There's a lot of signaling going on at different levels."

Iran hasn't hid the fact that they want to "wipe Israel off the face of the Earth"
if someone told you they were going to buy a gun and shoot you, then walked into a gun store, wouldn't you stop him before he bought the gun? i sure as hell would. |

Iran is kind of like a bratty kid that will keep progressively pushing his luck until someone finally smacks him in the mouth, then he'll bawl and wail for a little bit before shutting up for awhile ... and then he starts getting brave/stupid and starting the process over again. Some kids like this never learn, no matter how often/hard you whoop 'em.
If this were strictly a political and/or financial motivation for Iran, it wouldn't take as much to knock their peter in the sand. For example, take Khadaffi (sp?) from Labia ... er, I mean Lybia, back in the 80's. He talked a big game, he stirred up some crap ... and then we went over there, bombed the poopie-doo out of them, damn near got the big guy, himself, and we haven't heard diddly-squat out of him ever since then. He was trying to make a big name for himself, he got stepped on (HARD), and now he's a chump.
However, Iran isn't motivated exclusively by financial or political greed. They're motivated by religion, which history has shown to be one of the most destructive, relentless, blind motivators of humanity. These guys don't just want to take over Israel; they want to vaporize it, and all of its people ... not because of what they have or what they do, but because Allah said so. When you have a large, wealthy country led by people who take orders from homicidal dudes that claim to get their orders from deities that only they can hear, you've got a serious problem. (Then again, the same thing could possibly be said about Israel. )
You can't scare these people with destruction, because to them, with death comes rewards ... and if you take some of your enemies with you, you get major bonus points. Y'know ... stuff that pretty much goes against the grain of what most folks in the world would consider sane. These are the same kind of people that drink the special Kool-Aid because God told this one dude to tell everyone else to, or wash some sleeping pills down with vodka so they can hitch a ride on the UFO behind the comet ... except these folks wanna force the special Kool-Aid or vodka and sleeping pills on everyone else that doesn't believe in the same God/UFO that they do. You can't reason with these nutjobs. They "KNOW" they're right. Allah said so. It's right here in this book, see? And the book was written by a dude that, like, talked with Allah directly ... 'cause he was special. Or something. And stuff. Um, yeah. (Hmmm ... sounds a little like Christianity, too ... and Mormonism ... hmmm ... seeing a trend here... )
There's two ways of dealing with these kinds of people (as far as I know): rendering them harmless, either by keeping them restrained or keeping their grubby mitts off any kinds of weapons ... or killing them.
As an alternative to committing genocide and killing everyone in Iran, I suppose we could keep them placid by flying large planes over Iran and spraying an aerosol version of Thorazine if we took out their air force and anti-aircraft weapons. Or maybe flooding their country with shipments of all the marijuana, heroin, and other "downer" drugs that the DEA and FBI confiscate on a daily basis. Maybe beam a constant video feed of animal porn that overrides their local broadcasts and Internet websites. Anything to keep their hands off their guns and their minds off of killing.
I'm not an atheist or an agnostic dude. I don't have a problem with religion, per se. I just don't have any faith in people. And anyone who claims to talk to the invisible dude in the sky that only he/she can see or hear, and they also want to have (or already has) access to nuclear weapons-grade materials ... well, those kinda folk give me the heebie-jeebies, to say the least. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode
