| | | Lowering springs for the 99. CC Plates a have to? my buddy lowered his 04 mach with sportlines and did not use cc plates. claims he has no problems or uneven wear, course his car has under 20k miles. have another friend who dropped his 96 with some H&R's and did not use cc plates either. he also claimed no issues ( 100k car ).
when i had my 95 lowered with sportlines, i used some cheap upr 3 bolt steel plates. lined it up once and have not had any problems at all 'cept for the plates are a lil noisy/rattly
can i lower a 99GT with sportlines and not have to change out the cc plates? could i just go straight to the alignment shop and get it adjusted properly?
if its very questionable, i'll just spend the money and get the plates. dont wanna cut corners just looking to save some cash
thanks |

| | i installed Steeda Sport springs with all isolators in place. this was 3 years ago and i still dont have CC plates. further, i never had an alignment either. just mark the plate positions off with a permanent marker before you start your project and you will be fine. |

| | I don't have them. My car is way out of alignment and pulls to the right, but it did this before the springs, no noticeable difference. |

| | trust me man, after you do the springs, just take it to a goodyear center for an alignment. Some places offer a lifetime warrenty, so if you ever have to work on your suspension again, and the alignment happens to go off. you can just take it back in for a free alignment. |

| | I can't imagine not aligning it after changing springs. CC plates may not be needed for Steedas, mine didn't need them, but sportlines probably need them, and DEFINITELY need an alignment. |

| | I tripped & fell down and cut myself & got blood on my Abercrombie & Fitch shirt & tore my Abercrombie & Fitch shirt & now I can't wear my Abercrombie & Fitch shirt because I got blood on it. And it got torn, too. | | Join Date: October 2004 Location: La Mirada, CA

| | i ran Eibach Sportlines for a few years without any problems..... but then i went lower with no ISOs and all hell broke loose. Because i was so slammed my camber was so off that i wore out my tires in 25K miles.
Just installed MM C/C plates and now everything is perfect!!!

| | I also have Sportlines without the CC plates. No problems so far but then again it's only been about 6 months. We'll see what happens. |
