Ok to bring some up to date. I JUST finished taping up the dash harness. Everything worked when the harness was in the car by itself so lets all hope it all works now that its situated in the dash now. I will be putting the dash in the car next week and getting all my autometer gauges working and hooking up my start button and getting the carpet down and everything! What I nightmare this swap was. I will post pics up of the dash in the car as soon as I can. Then off to doing body work and finishing the car up!!! |

The funny thing is I had a full mint black fox interior and decided to sell it and do this. I'm really happy with it tho, it feels like a completely different car when you sit in it. |

what are you going to do with the hatch area to make it blend in with the S/N front part?Did you haveto trim any off the dash to make it fit? Or are they the same width?I think i'm looking at my new project now THANKS peace

I had to trace the front of the fox dash onto a peice of cardboard and then transfer that to the front of the sn dash. I was able to save enough room so I have the defroster vent still in place. Theres no exact way of doing it, just some head scratching and ALOT of mocking up and taking back out. It was a HUGE job. The wiring was the biggest pain in the ass. And if you do it solder EVERY connection. Butt connectors always end up pulling out and end up screwing you in the end. I spent about two days replacing butt connectors with a good soldered connection.
If you do it and have any questions feel free to give me a shout! Quote:

Thanks man! I'm getting a C2 tach and air fuel gauge to replace the ones I have so they match my cluster better. And that was a good cruise, minus a few incidents here and there. lol Hope to be out in the 88 in the spring!!!! |

I got the brakes bled out and functional today and took her to the warehouse to do a little test drive. Got a few issues, probably should have waited cause the damn thing got soaked but I was able to drive it!
Here's two short videos not the greatest but they will do for now. Plus it aint much to look at. And I look like a jack ass in the seat cause the seat it way too far forward for me. lol The power seat track isn't hooked up yet so I can't move the seat. http://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...t=DSCN3308.flv http://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...t=DSCN3307.flv

So I got to starting the body work on the car. It shouldn't take me too long to get the car straight. I shaved the antenna, and got the whole fender straight in about 3.5-4 hours of work. Thank god these cars have small panels, the last car I did was a 66 gto and that thing was a bear to do! Here's two pics of the fender in plastic. Thats two very thin coats of rage gold. I also shapened up the body line on the front bumper as well since the aftermarket bumpers are a little soft. I want the body lines to be super crispy when I'm done with it! |

I didn't end up using it, my problem was with the 88 too, I think its cause I have an underdrive pulley on it. At idle I only have 9 volts charging but if I take it to 1300 I'm fine. I want to try to find an aluminum stock size pulley. I'm just keeping that alt around for a spare now. |
