| | | Who else thinks Modified Mustangs now sucks? Not sure of how many of you subscribe to this magazine but if you do you are more then aware about the recent merger. I just got my Oct Issue and it blows, not one modern Mustang is featured in the Magazine. Who the f cares about a 57 Ranchero, not me |

| | I never thought it was all that great to begin with...too much of a boy racer feel to it for me, though they did have a few nice cars in it here or there
right now the best rag out there is 5.0 and super fords, IMO. MM&FF used to be awesome but has since turned into teh suxzor |

| | I like 5.0 Mag the most now. I like Modified Mustangs b/c they went really in depth on the featured cars the history of the car and the owner where as in 5.0 it was maybe a page and a half w/ not much text and the pictures in MF were better and more of them. But now it blows, I never got MM&FF. |

| | I cancelled my subscription to all the Stang mags a while ago.
I was not satisfied with the content as before and having to pass over 10 ads for every 1 article sucked. |

| | I really haven't found any good magazines for late model mustangs. Mustang Monthly was ok when I had my '69 coupe, but since I got the '98 I haven't found much of anything worthwhile. It seems the mag industry feels that you should either have an old (64.5-70) mustang or a brand new mustang. |

| | The whole thing w/the adds is that they sponsor the magzine and help pay to keep it being published. Each magazine is given X # amount of pages, once the sponsers take up what they need what is left is what we get to read.
The whole thing w/ Modified Mustangs is when I first got it it had everything from Fox's to 08's and that was cool w/ me. Now they merged w/ another Magazine and now they cover 60's Mustangs and non Mustangs but still Fords. The thing is I don't give a crap about classic Mustangs If I did i get magazines that covered them and I deff don't give a crap about non Mustangs even if they have a Mustang engine in them. Modified Mustangs response to the recent rants has been basically that b/c its still a Mustang no mater what year you should like it or your not a true Mustang fan and you should appreciate all Fords. So now they are telling is what we should and should not like, I get more pissed the more I think about it.

| | I'd rather see a nice modified Ranchero than the same S197 with 1000 variations of the same played out body kits. I dropped all my subscriptions to the Mustang mags because of this reason. |

| | I dont, and havent, subscribed to a car mag in years and years but i can see where some of the posters (on the mag's website) are coming from. They ordered a mag that was cars and they switched mid year on em. I havent seen it but from what it sounds its a cross between maxim and MM&FF and i can see where someone (particualy someone with a small daughter) wouldnt want that around. Its getting harder to keep her "off the pole" as it is. Only thing i can say is dont subscribe. |

| | on the M&F forum that strtcr50 posted the link to there are some guys complaining that the mag has taken on a soft core porn look. Thats not what they signed on to buy and that was what some of them were complaining about. |

That's ridiculous, that's not even close to what the magazine is about. That's just a few up tight people who want something to bitch about. You see a hell of a lot more skin on any TV show they you do in that magazine. |

| | Yeah, I got quited annoyed when I get my issue a couple of months ago and seen "& Fords" on it. Aren't there enough of those magazines? I liked Modified Mustangs because it was geared towards Fox, Sn95, and S197 platforms. In an effort to appeal to the masses, they're going to lose their main audience. |

Who knows how many issues will go by now before I see a decent 94/95. They used to cover them quite often and was good blend between the 88-08. All they did was alienate their hard core group of subscriber's.
Its like ordering something from summit and them sending you something else and telling you that "well you should like it anyway, it will still work" even though its not what you ordered.
I was rather nice in the E-mail I sent and even said I would probably renew my subscription but I dont see that happening now, the more I look threw this Oct Issue the less I want to give them my money. |

| | Works fine for me. My current car list: 04 GT, 90 GT, 68 coupe (2 of 'em), 87 coupe, 63 Fairlane.
I for one think it's great. As a true Mustang enthusiast I like to see coverage of all years. If you want only late models, get MMFF and 5.0, I subscribe to all three. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
