thx for the comments. | C&L should be a good choice for you combo.
You'll be able to recoupe the money for that setup on Ebay for sure. Good CAI's and other things like T-bodies, MAF's always sell good on Ebay.
I sold a used 70mm T-body for 125 bucks Buy It Now!!! I couldn't believe it, it was within hours of my listing! |

I basically went with the trick flow heads because of the packaged deal. took all the guessing work away. I believe that the tw heads are 170cc. Quote:

Little update, now that all my parts are here and can't wait to put it all together and start driving I haven’t been able to get my hands on a cherry picker yet. A local guy from the Northern virginal mustang club is letting me borrow his but we haven’t been able to schedule a time to meet up. So this weekend I continued sanding down and painting some other accessories and brackets in the bay. I took off the exhaust, disconnected the clutch, speed cable, shifter and took of the engine mount bolts. All I would have to do is remove the cross member and lift the engine and trans right out.
BTW, I just realized this weekend that when I removed the water pump 2 or 3 of the bolts had rusted and broke while I was removing them. I know that this is a very common issue even though I was being very careful when I was removing them.
Does anybody have a right up as to how to get the broken bolts out? And does anybody know if Arp makes a bolt kit for the water pump? Thanks |

Thanks | which bolts broke? if the ones that go into the blokc broke thats gonna be a hassle, but if the ones on the timing chain cover broke i would say just look for a new timing chain cover. getting broken stuff out is a hassle, and if you need a new cover i think i have a spare one, so PM me and let me know. ARP does make a kit for the WP and i think they make a complete kit for the engine for around 100 bucks that will have what you need.
BTW the car looks sick, glad to see there are still people building clean notchbacks out there |

Good news is that shool is over and i have all next week off of work. I started going back to the garage on sunday and worked on it on tuesday night too. I started sanding down and priming the engine bay.
update pictures will be uploaded tomorrow. |

just remember all good things take time.... even if you only work on it a little here and there keep working on it, and sooner or later it will be done ... my car has been down since august doing different things with it, but once it is done it will all be worth it... good luck on the progress |

Well I know I’ve done a terrible job keeping up with this thread... Sorry. But I have good news, after taking a couple months off of the project we started working on it again. Last week we headed back into the garage and noticed that the paint job we did on the engine bay in dec did not meet our standards. So we started sanding again. We redid the bay and it looks 10 times better. It’s hard to tell in the pictures but in person the paint is so much smoother and an even gloss all the way around, instead of random patches. We also disassemble the top end of the engine and painted the block last week.
This last weekend, after all of the paint dried we began assembly the top end with all of the trick flow goodies. I will update with pictures as soon as I can. It looks incredible so far.
Thanks for looking. |

Looks good. That's exactly what I did to my black notch. Just some rattle cans from Autozone and it actaully came out great. So much of the bay is covered anyways, if you aren't gonna hide wires and smooth holes. |
