McCain's lobbyist ties

So McCain is trying to make us think he is not associated with special interest groups. Then someone please explain what all these lobbyist are doing in his campaign.
The Anti-Lobbyist, Advised by Lobbyists
John McCain's Lobbyists
How can this man go around the country and say he's going to take on the special interest, does he mean special interest groups other then the ones he's associated with? You folks that are going to vote for him, are you aware of this, what's your take on it?
I could only find Obama using lobbyist in his state campaigns, 2 years ago, is it true he has no ties with lobbyists during his presidential run?

Wow! That's just terrible.

But somewhere along the lines you must have overlooked this...

Obama has always been pro infanticide

It is amazing how McCain is trying to distance himself from lobbyists while, at the same time, keeping so many lobbyists so close and having lobbyists make up such a large percentage of the campaign staff, and while having lobbyists in high positions within his campaign.

I don't get it. So what if he has lobbyists in his campaign? Not all lobbyists are bad news, lobbyists simply voice an opinion in order to sway their Congressmen one way or the other. Is this not true?

Second of all, Mccain isn't the only one who has lobbyist ties. Obama is running on CHANGE, but he still has lobbyists on his team as well. It looks like we have another case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Analysis: Obama, McCain both have lobbyist ties - CNN.com

Some of the planks in the McPalin Campaign being how McPalin is going to be Anti-Lobbyist and Anti-Special Interest, and how O'l Johnny has worked so closely with lobbyists in the past, and how O'l Johnny is going to bring great change to the Washington he had a large hand in creating, and ... , could have something to do with lobbyists being an issue with McPalin...

In any event, BOTH candidates claim they are going to CHANGE Washington, yet BOTH candidates have lobbyists in their campaigns. So what's your point? Are you ALSO not concerned about the Tony Resko scandals that Obama is involved in? Or are you once again showing us your close-minded liberal bias?

If you were truely concerned about one's affilliations, then you should be worried about the interesting friends that Obama has accumulated over his short political career.

These are people who HATE America and want to change it by committing acts of terrorism on innocent people. How nice.

The fact is that BOTH canidates NEED the special interest in order to get the MONEY to run any kind of campain. That's just how it is.

At least McCain doesn't take support from FORIENERS. Don't forget that Barrak and Joe want to take your guns, and make it LEGAL for terroists to kill you, while John and Sarah would probally issue you one to kill terrorists.

This past April, McCain spoke out against lobbyists, saying "workers and entrepreneurs of America are taken for granted by their government while the lobbyists and special pleaders are seldom turned away." McCain also raised eyebrows in 2006 when he attended a fancy soiree of the little-known but well-respected International Republican Institute in Washington.
A video from the group's Web site shows the chairman of AT&T -- which had just donated $200,000 to the institute -- introducing McCain, who is still chairman of its board.
McCain at the time was fresh off a term as chairman of the Senate committee that regulates telephone companies.
AT&T said there were no strings attached to the donation, but that's not always the point. Damned hypocrite.

Obama's campaign figures show that 94 percent of the money going to Obama comes from people writing checks for $200 or less.

Link to all his lobbyist?
Just to reiterate, Obama is not my candidate, Im simply pointing out the hypocrisy of the McCain so called "Straight talk express".

During this campaign, lobbyists and trade groups donated $181,000 to McCain, while Obama received $6,000, according to the New York Times.

Two of Sen. John McCain's top advisers and fundraisers are among several Republican presidential campaign officials whose lobbying firms have been paid more than $15 million by foreign governments since 2005.
The firms of McCain senior adviser Charlie Black, who until recently was the chairman of Washington-based BKSH & Associates, and campaign co-chairman Thomas G. Loeffler, who heads the Loeffler Group in San Antonio, received millions of dollars lobbying the White House, Congress and others as agents of nearly a dozen foreign clients in recent years.

Earlier this year, when his acquaintance with Ayers was raised, Obama said he "deplored" Ayers' actions more than 30 years ago and noted that he was 6 or 7 years old when Ayers was a radical.Ayers and Obama have known one another for more than a decade. As a state senator, Obama represented the Hyde Park district that encompassed the University of Chicago and Ayers' residence. Ayers hosted a house party for Obama early in Obama's career and gave him a $200 campaign donation."By the time I met him, he was a professor of education at the University of Illinois," Obama said in a "Fox News Sunday" interview in April. "We served on a board together that had Republicans, bankers, lawyers focused on education."

Obama's 'Weatherman' Connection - Fact Checker Ayers and his wife, Bernadine Dohrn, a Northwestern University professor who also was part of the Weather Underground, spent years on the run. After Ayers surrendered in 1980, charges against him were dropped because of prosecutorial misconduct.

The state of Israel is itself a terrorist nation, founded by acts of terrorism, they have been influencing the affairs of this country for years, using AIPAC to control members of our government, they have been committing atrocities, and horrors against the Palestinian people. And Israel attacked the USS Liberty, in order to provoke the US into war against it's enemies in the 60's. That has been well documented, but initially covered up. They have been caught spying on the US in one of the biggest spy scandals ever against this country. Many Israeli firms have been outsourced by the US government to provide phone tapping and security services, and the MOSSAD have been linked to 9-11. I could go on, but bottom line is Israel is no good for the US, and many in government hold dual US, Israeli citizenship. It is not the poor little peace loving nation they or your government want you to believe.

I guess it's ok for the current president to have Fascism in his family roots? What is a marxist in your book? Power to the people is a really really BAD thing huh? The fact of the matter is, some people see the empowerment of the people to have more of a say in government or the work place, as a bad thing because it is not in their best interest. Big business detesting unions is one example, so they resort to implying that such people or their supporters are left wing radicals, and communist marxists. This country has shifted to what amounts to a Mussolini style of Fascism, or corporatism, the right wing has been influenced to the highest levels of the republican party, by capturing the culture and turning it inside out. This has been carried out through careful stealth and deception throughout the years. The perpeTRAITORS, had to cultivate an image of God fearing conservatism, and maintain positions appealing to the average conservative, all the while empowering the huge corporations that give them their power, money and influence, and sneaking Fascism through the back door. They have mastered this deception by making us believe, corporate welfare is good, that the CEOs of corrupt companies are just bad money managers, and that the lost pensions and retirement funds of the worker don't mean squat, it's ok for the government to take over or rescue a company and put the burden of that on the taxpayer, after they have pillaged the consumer the first time around. It's perfectly fine that the executives receive leniency, and still receive huge severance pay, and bonuses. So if you feel these practices are corrupt, and speak out against them you are a communist, marxist? Most people just want to be treated fairly and decently, and live a normal life, and not be slaves until death. Those who point and cry "commie" are exagerating the truth.

Unfortunately it already has become an abomination, no matter who is in control. I wish for these things to be bought up during the debates, and just get all the facts out in the open from both sides.

And what about John McCains scandal that doesn't even compare in size or scope to Obama's little real estate venture. McCain issued this statement despite the clear public record about his role as one of the so-called "Keating Five," senators who did favors for savings-and-loan wheeler-dealer Charles Keating.
In 1987, Keating wanted to frustrate oversight from federal banking regulators who were examining his Lincoln Savings and Loan Association. At Keating's urging, McCain wrote letters, introduced bills and pushed a Keating associate for a job on a banking regulatory board. McCain then joined several other senators in two private meetings with federal banking regulators on Keating's behalf.
Two years later, Lincoln collapsed, costing the U.S. taxpayers $3.4 billion. Keating eventually went to prison and three other senators from the Keating Five saw their political careers ruined. McCain drew a Senate reprimand for his involvement and later lamented his faulty judgment. "Why didn't I fully grasp the unusual appearance of such a meeting?" he wrote in his 2002 memoir, Worth the Fighting For.
But some people close to the case thought McCain got off too easy -- and actually may have been the senator most deeply entwined with Keating. Not only was McCain taking donations from Keating and his business circle, getting free rides on Keating's corporate jet and enjoying joint vacations in the Bahamas -- McCain's second wife, the beer fortune heiress Cindy Hensley, had invested with Keating in an Arizona shopping mall. Does that sound like honesty and integrity to you? Nevertheless, years later when the Times article questioned just how ethical the "new" John McCain really was, McCain lashed back with a categorical statement that was categorically untrue, saying he had "never done favors for special interests."---Robert Parry

You know, I can't count how many times you've demonized Israel as a terrorist nation poboy. It almost becomes sad after a while. I mean, are you under the impression that the Jews (who are obviously the bad guys in your opinion) simply got what they DESERVED during the Holocaust? Should we have been HELPING Nazi Germany irradicate these dangerous people instead of fighting against the fascist German army?

I'm just sayin. You seem to rationalize ANYTHING that a terrorist organization says or does, and have only implied that ANY fault remain solely on the Israeli nation. What about the attack on the U.S.S. Cole? What about the U.S. embassy bombing in Africa? Or the Beirut bombing in Lebanon killing 241 Americans? Are these all excusable to you based on your belief that ISRAEL is at fault? Are the people who carried out these attacks just simply MISGUIDED? These terrorists are killing INNOCENT people, yet it's ok when THEY do it, just not ok if WE (accidentally) do it in Iraq, Vietnam, World War 2, the Civil War, or ANY other war for that matter. You're so quick to demonize America and it's Allies then to actually take a look at the people we're fighting here. Yes, like I said before, I KNOW America isn't perfect, and America hasn't ALWAYS made the right decisions. But at least we ARE fighting a noble cause against a people whose ideas are to strap bombs on mentally handicapped women, send them into a crowd, and DETONATE THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUNCH OF PEOPLE!

HOW CAN YOU DEFEND THIS?

If you'd have READ the link I posted on Rashid Khalidi, you would have picked up on the statements that Khalidi made claiming it was OK for Palestinians to kill soldiers and civilians, but it WASN'T ok for Israeli soldiers to return the favor. That doesn't even make any sense, but it goes to show the HATRED that Islam has for Israel. They find it OK to kill anybody that is NOT of the Muslim religion, because MUHAMMED clearly stated this is what they are to do. Do you remember what happened after Israel gave the Palestinians back the Gaza Strip? I wrote about this in another thread. The Palestinians showed Israel their appreciation by DIGGING UP THE ISRAELI GRAVES, BURNING DOWN THE ISRAELI HOMES, AND FIRING ROCKETS AT THE ISRAELI PEOPLE'S BACKS AS THEY LEFT TOWN.

THOSE are the people I'm worried about. The terrorists who are never satisfied and WON'T stop at anything to kill someone they deem the enemy. No amount of land, money, or wealth is going to stop them from coming after Israel, Europe, or the United States. Don't forget that Ahmadinejad claimed the Holocaust never happened. Are you under this impression as well? Or are you just under the impression that the Jews should have been completely exterminated in World War 2 before they declared themselves a terrorist state in 1948?

Yep, O'l Johnny sure slipped out of that one, the Keating Scandal.

And how unfair and rude of you to keep bringing up McCains history, don't you know we're suppose to get down there and Gob Knobble his POW thing and conveniently ignore the lobbying and selling out of America and everything else about the man?

But, Hey, theres Pigs and Lipstick to worry about.
