Yep, looks like I'm getting rid of this. I've had it for 3 years and haven't really done anything with it. Time to move on. I need a new winter beater. Would make a great drag car, or just fun cruiser. Don't see many of these around. This one is extra rare because it's a Cobra II with a 4 cyl. It has about 60k miles on it (I'll get a more exact figure later this week for you). I've had it running, but it needs a carb rebuild. It turns over, but will not idle on it's own. A simple carb rebuild will resolve that. I have driven it probably 3 miles when I did have it running, and it drove fine. I did put all new brakes on it, including drums, shoes, etc... The dash is apart as I was in the middle of replacing the gauges when I lost interest, but will put it back together if you'd like. I also installed a new ragjoint. I have a new master cylinder for it, though the one on it works fine. It's a 4 speed manual. I've replaced more, but can't think of what off the top of my head. It's electrically sound. Since it came from California, they had installed AC and disabled the heat, so that would need fixed if you wanted to drive it in the cold. AC does not work, obviously, but I'm sure that's not a hard fix either. The underneath is extremely clean. No rust at all. The body has a few points of rust around a couple of small dents, and on the hatch (which seems to be a problem for these cars). Car will need to be on a trailer to take it out of here, but this is definitely a great car for a restoration or drag racer.
Background on the car, it was purchased in San Jose, California and was put in a barn about 30 miles from San Jose in 1985. It was pulled out of the barn in 2005 and that's when we purchased it. I drove down to California and brought it back myself, and it has been garaged since. Since it was in a barn, there is no title, however, I do have a slip from the California DMV that shows no record, which means all you need to do is file for a replacement title. I never did so because I was waiting until I got it completed.
