Hey guys - I'm typing this in from my blackberry so I'm not sure if my sig is coming over but I've got a mildly warmed up 5.0 (GT40 heads, 24lb, C&L Maf, 70MM TB, RPM Intake, headersN etc) and I'm wondering if I need to go throught the expense of a tune.

The car is not my daily driver and mileage is unimportant as is absolute power due to this not being a race car.

It drives great now - any reason to tune it?

honestly with your combo i doubt you would really benefit from a tune if your not having any drivability problems now.

however if your planning on more mods and constantly messing with the car down the road you can go the DIY tuning route with a tweecer or something. costs about as much as a good professional dyno tune to get all the stuff you need, takes a little time to get the hang of it, but once you do the possibilities are endless. and you wont be married to a tuner.


if you just throw a blower or something on and dont change stuff too often, a 1 time tune from a pro may be the way to go.
