Those are some huge freaking turbos! I'm sure that car will be very scary.
For those hating on the car because it has a tube frame chassis, get real. There's no way you could control 2000 hp without a serious chassis and rear suspension setup and there's no way to build that rigid chassis and proper suspension inside the stock frame. Like the tube frame or not, it is necessary! After all, it is suppose to race and post quick times, not blow tire smoke the whole 1/4 or break at launch. Think about it, how many unibody 6 second cars have you seen? |

Think about it, how many unibody 6 second cars have you seen? | Not hating, just don't find it particularily appealing or unique. Of course it's demented, but you can flip on any NHRA sponsored event one weekend and see 100-cars just like it (not exactly, but you know where I'm going). I get more revved up about cars that anyone could own that can be built scary fast in the driveway, or garage at home with off the shelf parts that still retain the majority of the stock (or at least a streetable) drivetrain.
Building a car like the one above is something only a very few with oodles of disposable income and/or multiple sponsors would be able to attain. Certainly cool, and absolutely bad ass, but it's kind of like looking at an exotic driving down the street IMO. I'll ooo and ahhhh in admiration as it goes by, but the moment it's out of sigh, its out of mind too.
Where say a Mustang, that someone built in their spare time on the weekends with off the shelf parts that runs 10's, yet still retains a full interior and A/C seems much more realistic to your Average Joe and thus seems to entertain a more in depth admiration? |

| | Well i know he isn't stoopid but thats exactly my sediment. I prefer a stang or anything as long as it not rice, that is still completey streetable. That GNX is sweet and i wasn't hating either. I gave it props, but was also stating my opinion. It IS sweet and can't wait to see a dyno or track vid. |

This car is made to break some 1/4mile records, it is going for the worlds fastest v6 powered GN. Just as someone wanted to do w/ the 5.4l mod engine, Its not a NOS big block, its something unique. I've just seen too many of the same thing all the time(MY car is a good example) and its good to see something new out there... Quote:

Bad ass car... Too bad there'[s 1 less GN in the world.
What Rules and Sanctioning body are they going by.. Hell theres NOTHING left of a GN there.. I dont think ANY of those parts have a GN VIN on them even the body.
Why do people do this... Why not take a POS Regal and do it. Sanctioning Racing rules or not it sucks someone would do this to a rare car to race in a certain Category.

the car will be running in the 6s w/ this setup. The owner of the car has about 12 or more gns sitting around his house and a few down at the shop. I was just down at a guy's house this pass weekend that had even more Gn's than him. He had about 50+ just sitting there and he had a GNX w/ just 5 miles on it!!(EST @ $140,000!!) will post pics soon.

Car is very sweet. The guy with all the GN's has a very nice setup, I am envious. Anyone that can afford a McIntosh amp and JBL Studio monitors for their "Garage" system has some serious coin |
