In his book he went even further. In 1980, while at Occidental College, he was careful to vet his friends. “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”
In 1981 Obama transferred to Columbia University, where he claims to have stopped doing drugs, and began living a physically healthy lifestyle.
In 1983 as President Ronald Reagan was attempting to end the cold war, Obama states he was attending Marxist-Socialist conferences at Cooper Union. It was also during this time that Obama wrote his thesis on Soviet Nuclear Disarmament.
At least now there is no longer a mystery as to why the mainstream media is not going after Obama’s thesis, and why he continues to make himself the candidate of race. Were this thesis released, it may well set off an explosion of nuclear proportions.

Does bush and cheney hiding their 9/11 testimony from the public necessarily infer guilt? |

U.M. | Which part- I have to say I was expecting something juicy- It really just seemed like a lot of observations of how perceptions change. Nothing really earth shattering but a bit confusing with "these people felt like this when they were here and then they felt like that when they went there and now they feel a little like they used to before they thought about going there" |

They discuss the problems which face those black officials who must persuade the whit community that they are above the issues of race and that they are representing all people not just black people. pg8
| So far it's interesting, but nothing ground breaking or shocking in it. It is written from a black person's point of view. A black person that thinks the Black community is important, so I can see why you guys might find it offensive or problematic. |

| | Why are people in this thread trying to redirect to McCain instead of discussing the issue at hand? "But McCain"... Is that the best answer?
Oh, and by the way U.M., did'nt you know that criticising The Messiah's wife is racist? You don't understand because of your white priviledge.

| | Look at this thread. Instead of discussing it, people are trying to flip it to McCain, Bush, and Cheney. |

You don't understand because of your white priviledge. | I read the thesis after seeing the links here, and don't see anything shocking about it. I'm curious what the big deal is. In other words, I'm curious as to what exactly the "issue at hand" is. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
