Well considering the vast majority of the rich folk vote republican I would go that way. Because in the democratic society there would be no one to carry the burden of the tax system and everything would suffer.
That being said this is a silly topic, neither side could really live as well on their own. |

If the people who voted for McCain were in one country and the people who voted for Obama were in another, here is what would happen:
The people in the McCain country would immediately spend all their money on their military, invade the Obama country because it obviously isn't capable of governing itself having voted for Obama (not to mention it would have WMDs), install a McCain government, rebuild it, and occupy it while their own economy crashed and the people lived in poverty.
The people in the Obama country would live like Iraqis live now, until the new McCain-installed government came online, at which point they'd use all the money from the nationbuilding to invade the over-stretched and now impoverished McCain country for invading them first. And then they'd realize they're both the same country, and reunite.
I don't think they'd make it that far though, because while they're busy fighting each other, all the Muslims/blacks/native americans/mexicans/asians would have swarmed on both countries like fire ants, and whitey would be dead.
Do I win?

There would be tons of cross migration, where conservatives would probally all flock to the red side, and the liberals would flock to the blue.
I think the blue side woud have a rough time because all the welfare people would of course flock there, and a bunch of politically correct office yuppies along with thier affirmitive action placed employees would have a tough time producing products with the only blue collar workers being a bunch of union guys always striking.
Oh, and if here was a war, it would be commic because the blue side would get it's ass handed to them. First of all, even if they did start to win, it woud be a shootout every house because all the red guys and galsl have guns. On top of this, how effective would an army of coffee house yuppies, gays, lesbians, and minorities be???  Especially against an army of mostly vets, hunters, and productive people who don't want anyone to take care of them? Most military guys would go live in the red side. |
