99 taurus ps pump

I just bought my wife a 99 taurus and the power steering reservoir was empty so i added fluid to it to find out that it pukes it out of the cap and i mean alot. its really bubbly and creamy,do i need a new pump?

rack, pump, lines...

the rack in those go all the time.. I must have done hundreds of them over the years


if you cant tackle it yourself it's a expensive job in a shop..

you can try to save the lines but blow them out with compressed air to get all the crap out of them or your new rack will not last long

Thanks much, upon further examination i found that the rack is leaking from one of the boots too, could i just get away with changing the rack, and cleaning the lines and pump real good?
